Mystique Asian Restaurant & Lounge

Celebrated my wife’s promotion and she picked Mystique. We had the pleasure of Tay taking care of us and let’s say we had one of the best dining experiences. She made us feel special and the recommendations were all great. Steak Frites and Rice bites were really good. 5/5 we will be coming back for our next celebration.

Food excellent, waitress in the beginning excellent waiter(bold guy) that took the order very rude and was rushing, very unprofessional and brought back receipts saying there is set amounts of tips we have to leave him at the bottom of the receipts!

I’ve been coming to Mystique for years and have always considered it a reliable spot, but my recent visit with my wife was incredibly disappointing.

We started with the stir-fry rice, which came oddly deconstructed — a bowl of vegetables with a side of stale white rice. Completely unacceptable. The lo mein was bland and forgettable, and the spicy salmon roll I ordered was not only overpriced but also came out tasting fishy — definitely not fresh. The only bright spot of the meal was the hot and sour soup, which was actually quite good.

What made things worse was the service. I shared my concerns with our server (who bore a resemblance to a bald Jonah Hill), and instead of offering a genuine resolution, he awkwardly handed me chocolates and offered a half-hearted apology. To top it all off, I was given the wrong receipt — with a higher total — which felt intentional, especially since he laughed when I pointed it out. It felt humiliating.

Thankfully, the manager did step in and tried to make things right, but the overall experience left a really bad taste — literally and figuratively. I’m not sure what’s happened to a place I used to enjoy, but something has definitely changed, and not for the better.

We have been to Mystique many times in the past years, and used to have good experiences, but the past several times have not been good. Last night at 5:30 pm (5/11/25), we placed a take out order, and ordered two non alcoholic coconut drinks at $12 each. We did witness the bar tender putting soda water (a lot of it) into our drinks. We left to walk around while waiting for our food. The drinks were so bad. Tasted not only like soda water, but poorly mixed or old soda water. We had to throw the drinks away. When we picked up our food, we told the Manager about the drinks. He just looked at us and simply said “sorry”. Just sorry any time we asked about this drink situation (it felt condescending). We asked if he was going to do anything about it, again “no, sorry”. We asked if he could make another one, and he said it’s a recipe so it will be the same soooooo (he just didn’t want to). We ended up leaving with no resolution. Lost $24 on terrible drinks. Then, when we got home, we were appalled by the absolutely disgustingly old lobster rangoons that tasted so fishy and old that they were inedible. The crab rangoons were ok, but no taste. Our usual sizzling steak had no flavor, and the Hong Kong chicken and ribeye stir fry were the same, and the stir fry was just a mushy, tasteless mess. The dumplings were the only items that tasted good. What has happened to Mystique? Poor service, poor food, didn’t try to resolve the drink issue. We won’t be back for a long time, if ever.

The wagyu burger was horrendous.it was super dense not at all like fresh ground beef. I couldn't press my finger thru it or tear it apart I've never seen anything like it. Also it costs $55 and comes out in a stupid treasure chest. Hot and sour soup was good. Spicy tuna roll was mediocre at best. Service and atmosphere were perfectly fine

Really good food, amazing ambiance. We had a really good time. Our waitress Princess N did a wonderful job.
Very patient, friendly, and helpful. She made our time at Mystique an even better experience. A server can really make or break your experience at a restaurant.

Entre took 38 minutes to recieve..then while waiting had the pleasure of the wait staff disrespecting guests. How can a waiter run their mouth about someone that contributes to paying their rent/bills.

I like the fried rice. The tastes could be lifted better more though

I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday with a private dinner, and I couldn't have chosen a better place. Executive Chef Chris Barchard and his team truly outdid themselves! Their fresh, modern take on omakase was both exciting and refreshing—an experience unlike anything my family and I had ever had.
We had an eight-course menu paired with thoughtfully curated drinks. Each dish showcased an incredible level of technique, creativity, and balance. It was impossible to pick a favorite, as every bite was packed with flavor and seamlessly flowed into the next. That said, my family absolutely raved about the Lobster Toast, the savory Japanese milk bread was mindblowing.
What made this experience even more special was learning about Chef Chris’ culinary background and the creative thought process behind each dish. It gave us an even deeper appreciation for the artistry and effort that went into every plate.
A huge thank you to Chef Chris, DT, and the entire Mystique team for making this such a memorable birthday. Your hospitality and attention to detail made us feel truly taken care of. If you’re a foodie who appreciates high-quality sushi and Asian cuisine, I can’t recommend this private dining experience enough. We’ll definitely be back.

We ordered 3 entrees, vegetarian was bland. Chicken ended up raw and fish was good. Disappointed by the food.

Wish The Lobster Rangoon was a bit firmer in the middle. The staff was kind and attentive. Sushi chef outdid themselves

Second visit. Really like the atmosphere. The food is great too. We made the mistake of ordering everything right away and it all showed up right away. Too fast! I wish the server had staggered putting the items in. Note: special thanks to the team for getting my credit card back to me after I left it behind. Super grateful.
