Park-9 Dog Bar Reviews
I’ve brought my pup to Park-9 several times, and unfortunately, he’s been repeatedly targeted by the same two Basenjis who shows territorial aggression near the benches where her owners sit. During my most recent visit, she bit my dog again while he was playing with another dog.
Multiple staff and patrons witnessed this—including Park Rangers who acknowledged the issue—but instead of addressing the aggressive dog, I was labeled the problem and asked to leave after...read full review
Hi! We have been coming to park9 since you opened. We had not been there for like 8 months and came back a few weeks ago with Mia our 8 yr old english bulldog. I was a little nervous because Mia had not been there for months and I wanted to make sure she was comfortable. As soon as we came inside she saw Brandon. He was so happy to see her and she was so happy to see him. It was very nice. Brandon is a really nice guy and is great with all the dogs and people but him and Mia...read full review
Went here last night and it was fabulous! Bartender was awesome, the Dog staff was great! As somebody who works with Dogs on the daily, it was nice to bring my dog here and have somebody else pay attention to her while she played with her friends. The dog staff does a great job, controlling the environment and keeping everybody safe. I plan on making this my weekly spot.

Park-9 Dog Bar is a welcoming spot for dog owners, providing a relaxed environment where pets can roam off-leash and owners can unwind. The staff is attentive and careful in managing the dogs, ensuring safety and fun for everyone. It feels like a brewery for dog parents, perfect for a weekend visit after brunch. The venue is friendly, clean, and secure, with checks at the door to confirm dogs have updated vaccines. Dogs here are generally well-socialized, making it a great place for pets to play, wrestle, and explore while owners relax. The location is wheelchair accessible, with ramps at the entrance and to the on-leash area where most tables are situated.
Visitors often praise the friendly staff, including Brandon, who is noted for being great with dogs and people alike, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The environment encourages dogs to do what they love best—sniff, wrestle, run, and even climb on picnic tables or beg for treats at the front desk. The drinks are creative and delicious, although mocktails may be considered a bit expensive. The food options include pizza and snacks, which many find enjoyable, while some visitors feel that the salad does not meet expectations. The food trucks add to the enjoyable atmosphere, and the doggy beers are a hit among pups.
Park-9 is the only dog bar in New England, setting a high standard that makes it worth a visit for everyone, whether or not they have a dog. The staff’s risk-averse approach, which includes intervening in excessive barking or hyper play, helps maintain a safe environment. The owners emphasize that dogs need to communicate naturally, and some behavior, like growling or snapping, is part of dog interactions. The facility is not suitable for very timid dogs or those overwhelmed by many other dogs, but it is loved by many pet owners and professionals alike. Kids under 12 are not allowed in the off-leash area, but they can sit outside at tables with their iPads and enjoy non-alcoholic drinks.
