I purchased their rolls, many times over ar Market Basket. I went to make a couple of meatball sandwiches tonight and the rolls are covered with mold, with a date of 5-24 on the bag.
Yummy!
Nice place. Get there in the morning for best pastries.

The bread is ridiculously good and the woman who works there is wonderfully helpful. She even called another bakery to help us find something we were looking for that she was out of and have us directions how to get there. The biggest loaf of bread I've ever bought cost $2.50! And it was so good that we drove 90 minutes a week later to go buy more.

The best Portuguese Bread. I usually buy at Amaral's central market at the same price as Afonso bakery. I buy a few bags and store them in the freezer since I live in Warwick, RI. Best with Portuguese Kale soup, chourico meat, stuffing, etc.
Parking: There little bit of street parking.
