I was bedridden sick when my amazing fiance went to Brayton Ave Cafe and picked me up some of Alice's Portuguese soup. I've never had it before and this got me up and running fast. She cooks a hearty soup with love. I got the opportunity to meet the chef today and she's a great person as well. Will recommend and come back soon. Thank you!

I have lived off of Brayton Ave most of my life. I have seen a couple of owners come and go but, this family seems to have it down right. Friendly, social and as a gay man I didn’t get any vibe that people were bothered by my presence. Everyone seemed welcome & welcoming. My dinner was excellent….. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazingly great food for just a local dive... my only (very minor) issues are that there isn't much Tap variety & the crowd is a little bit Trumpy. Never offensive, so no big deal. Definite recommend as long as you're not overly sensitive

Sad when I hear that my own FAMILY got kicked out for drinking nips when it was only a FRIEND of theirs drinking. You don't kick people out of an establishment because of YOUR assumptions. Piece of dirt.

Went there with a party of 5 people one person in my party was drinking nips outside the establishment. That we didn't know about until that person was outside on the ground and one of the bar tenders approached the table telling us that one of our party members were on the ground that there not allowed back to the place "that night". So we go there again not with that person this time and we get kicked out being told we where all drinking nips and that we banned from that bar when none of us in the party were drinking at all we were all sobar except one member that was sneakily drinking that night and now we get banned for one person. Mind you the bar tender that told us this was very rude and disrespectful towards us and had no compassion towards the situation knowing that none of us except one member was drinking that night but yet still kicks us out mind you they have a dog running around the bar room where food and beverages are being served mind you I think that we were racially profiled also .Only good thing was there food.
