I was bedridden sick when my amazing fiance went to Brayton Ave Cafe and picked me up some of Alice's Portuguese soup. I've never had it before and this got me up and running fast. She cooks a hearty soup with love. I got the opportunity to meet the chef today and she's a great person as well. Will recommend and come back soon. Thank you!
I have lived off of Brayton Ave most of my life. I have seen a couple of owners come and go but, this family seems to have it down right. Friendly, social and as a gay man I didn’t get any vibe that people were bothered by my presence. Everyone seemed welcome & welcoming. My dinner was excellent…..

Amazingly great food for just a local dive... my only (very minor) issues are that there isn't much Tap variety & the crowd is a little bit Trumpy. Never offensive, so no big deal. Definite recommend as long as you're not overly sensitive
