Worst we ever ate. Terrible. We ordered our drinks our friends got bottle of wine within 5 minutes..our beer came in half hour. We ordered food and all four plates took over an hour to come out and over cooked very dry. Then ordered more drinks and at least 20 minutes more. There 2 and a half hours. We use to love this place. Every plate we had and ordered was not the same. So sad to see this in a place we loved to go to. We frequent this place. So sad to see this place become what it has. Was my favorite. Now wont go again

My siblings and I go out every Saturday evening, this was not a good night reservations for 6 at 6 , we ate at 830 . We have been customers since the previous owner took over years ago we have had many celebrations there . The new owner goes table to table but chooses the table to talk to the people not very welcoming. The food was ok . We as a group won’t be going back anytime soon .

Was a frequent patron before the new ownership. I had stopped going because it had gone downhill. No fruit in sangria, no Splenda, no salt and pepper on the tables, food portions very small. So with new owner we decided to give it another try. Our waitress was very nice, but had no business waiting on her own tables on her first day. She told us there was no stuffed shrimp when there was. Food took a bit of time and was just ok. My son ate his steak in about 4 bites it was so small! I expected more for $128 price tag. Same old problems! Small portions, cheaping out on little things like fruit on sangria is just bad for business.

Terrible experience. New owner is incredibly rude. He shush people down with the hand. Waitress was super rude trying to make more money by adding extra items and had no sense of accountability.

This restaurant used to be one of my go-to spots in Fall River for Portuguese food, but ever since the change in ownership, it’s really gone downhill. The warm, welcoming atmosphere and great service that made it special are completely gone.
Our visit was disappointing from the moment we sat down. We waited well over an hour for our meals, and during that time, not one person came by to give us an update or apologize for the delay. When the food finally started coming out, the entrées arrived before the appetizers — which we only got after asking about them. The waiter’s response when we inquired was, “Do you still want them?” — said in the most dismissive tone. When one of us mentioned that a soup was also missing, he just replied, “I know,” and walked away. It felt incredibly rude.
What made it even worse was watching other tables who arrived much later get served before us. The waiter, who barely checked on us, was suddenly very attentive to a couple who had just sat down — refilling their drinks, chatting with them, and making sure they had everything they needed. Even the chef came out to greet them personally, while we were still waiting for our missing dishes.
It’s really sad to see how much this place has changed. The food used to be fantastic, and the staff always made you feel at home. Now, it feels disorganized and indifferent. Between the slow service, poor communication, and clear favoritism, this visit was a huge letdown.
Unfortunately, after this experience, I won’t be coming back either.

This used to be my absolute favorite Portuguese restaurant in all of Fall River, but ever since the ownership changed, it has completely lost its charm, service, and sense of hospitality. What was once a cozy, dependable spot for great food and friendly service has turned into a major disappointment.
Our experience was awful from start to finish. It took over an hour for our food to come out, and during that entire time, no one offered an update or apology. To make matters worse, our main dishes arrived before our appetizers, which we never received until we specifically asked about them. When we asked the waiter what happened, his response was, “Well, do you still want them?” We said yes, and mentioned that one of us also ordered soup. He just said “I know,” and stormed off without another word. Completely unprofessional.
What made it even more frustrating was watching a couple who came in well after us — and another table of four next to us — get their appetizers and full meals before we did. The waiter, who barely acknowledged our table, was suddenly incredibly attentive to the new couple. He checked on them constantly, while ignoring the rest of us who had been waiting for over an hour. Then, to top it off, the chef came out to personally speak with that couple, clearly giving them special treatment while the rest of us were left wondering if our food would ever arrive.
It’s honestly heartbreaking to see how far this place has fallen. The food used to be worth recommending to everyone I knew — now, it’s hard to even want to come back. Between the rude service, lack of organization, and blatant favoritism, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in years.
Sadly, after years of being a loyal customer, I won’t be returning.

Terrible service. Waited 30 minutes to get a drink order then an hour and a half for food. Waiter never came back to get another drink order had to go up to the bar twice to get a drink order. They forgot two things and half the food came out cold. Their menu is so small too there should not be these types of issues. Place has gone really downhill. Stay away!

Small place. Very limited menu. 2 out of 6 ppl in my party got food they liked. Im very surprised they dony gave a more extensive menu for being a so called Portuguese Restaurant. This was my first and last time there. Definitely not worth my time.
