I have been eating at Happy Garden since at least 1997.. It's my go to if I'm in Fall River.. Best fried baby shrimp šŸ¤ and the best chicken with cashew nuts I've ever had.. They do it crispy.. Someone told me this is St. Louis style but I am not sure.. If you get it, ask for it extra crispy and thank me later

Didn’t want to drive to Dartmouth, but am totally skeptical of Fall River Chinese cuisine. Needed my fix, as I was passing Happy Garden Restaurant… so I thought I would give it a try. Sat in the parking lot and read about 20 reviews, most vicious.

So I hesitantly thought to order something simple, to eat in.
The restaurant only had one other customer, but it was probably due to the odd time of day. They had a very robust menu that is not reflected accurately on this site. But with my thinking of keeping it simple, I ordered the chicken finger Plate, with pork fried rice and an eggroll. It was a little over $11. I took a seat in the very clean and quaint dining room, nothing close to what has been depicted in many older reviews. The bathroom was immaculately clean too. The ordering process, at the front counter, was quick and easy. Again, in contrast to many of the reviews, the staff was very welcoming, and willing to make modifications as desired.

When I received my plate, as depicted in photo, it was a substantial serving for the money. The chicken fingers were lightly coated large pieces of white meat. The egg roll was mostly cabbage, but above average. The fried rice had a good amount of chunky pork pieces and also was well made.

While this isn’t gourmet, it sure is the best option I have come across in this area and well worth the money. I look forward to trying some expanded selection such as teriyaki shrimp. I’m glad I took the risk and hopefully and finally have a go to place

Happy Garden has been here for so long the food is great and fast. Best crab rangoons i have found anywhere, they are full not a little circle and the rest is dough. I do delivery or take out. I have not dined in.

The lady in the front has the worst attitude…. All I have to say is next time when you want to talk shit… wait till the customer is gone because I understood everything you said and corrected you right back in Chinese.
