This is my favorite family owned, determined business in the city. There are many reasons why these reviews are positive and legit. The atmosphere is like walking into the owner’s home, because you are treated as a welcomed guest. The place is spotless and the owner loves to engage in conversation. The smell of fresh waffles is intoxicating and menu items are not only fresh, but healthy. My first smoothie was on the house, because I asked for a substitution and the owner was curious. We shared the new combination and it was a success. Since this initial concoction, subsequent visits start with a recommendation and I just go with it. The owner never lets me down and I never plan on a quick visit. The food is made with fresh ingredients and made to order. Watching the owner make smoothies or cook is an experience. She can handle several tasks at once and share a wonderful conversation. It’s an enjoyable experience. This is a business, which has a community oriented mindset and values it’s customers. This is not a corporate establishment. We need to support our local businesses. My family chooses LAKAY for our smoothies and healthier options. I spread the word and it is out of respect. They are our neighbors and we are lucky to have this gem, in this side of the city. When you walk in the door, it’s nice to here your name and feel that sense of community. There are success stories in Fall River. This establishment will be one of them.
