Perfect spot to dine with our elderly parents who are both hard of hearing. Consistently very good food and attentive serve staff.

We have been to The Coonamesett several times. We have always enjoyed the room accommodations and Eli's Tavern. We went to Burger Near last night. The burger was great and the Spinach salad with salmon was outstanding!

Juice should be included in the price. Only coffee & tea are included. So, a choice of 3 would be nice.

We had a wonderful experience celebrating a very special 83rd birthday party. Service was wonderful and the food was delicious.

Our waiter was wonderful. We both had rack of lamb and it was the best I have ever had eating out! I ordered gluten free due to a bad allergy. I was given gluten free rolls! So nice to have a roll with dinner again. Thanks for a lovely evening.

Our server was very personable and helped with our dinner selections. The food was excellent and good sized portions. The dessert was over the top, as we took more than half of the delicious carrot cake home to enjoy later.

Our food was delicious! HOWEVER, our waiter, Dexter, greeted us with “I'm very busy tonight and helping out at a private party so give me your orders now because I don't know when I will get back here”!!!! I loved being rushed when I go out for a leisurely dinner with friends! We had one guest arrive a little bit late, but we were afraid not to order....so drinks and dinner at the same time were ordered. Unheard of at a nice place like Eli's. Of course, she was practically dining alone. I had to ask several times for ice for my drink, and after dinner was served he disappeared. He was not helpful with our takeout....another waitress actually assisted me. This was not up to Eli's standards having been dining there for the past 27 years. We will be back, but will certainly request “no Dexter”

Tavern is dated and dark with outdated carpet and ceiling fixtures. Food was mediocre. My steak tips were so tough I couldn't eat them. Two in my party had chicken which was bland. The service was very good, however.

Every time we visit this restaurant, we have a great time with excellent food and service. However, last night, the day before Labor Day, was horrible. The service was slow, they ran out of food, and they didn't fulfill my order correctly. When I questioned them, they insisted that what I received was what was on the menu, but it wasn't. I don't know what is happening to this restaurant. Perhaps they were shorthanded. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, but I'm not too happy.

The food here was really good. The dollar oysters on Thursday was such an amazing deal, and the oysters were incredibly good. They were so fresh and they left no aftertaste. The beet salad was also really good. Their wings were pretty good. The Cobb salad was solid. The flatbread and quesadilla were also not bad. Our waiter was extremely nice and helpful. They have a huge area. It was a little hard to find, but just remember that it's in the coonamessett inn.

Our waiter was less than friendly, he came to the table of four of us, I was talking to another waiter, so he didn't wait for me to give him my order and just left. After that, we waited for a very long time for an order to arrive I had to ask another waiter to have our way to come back to take my order which he reluctantly did. Fish and chips was awful - overcooked, and dry. I asked to substitute my french fries with a salad for fish and chips and then on the bill I was charged extra for the side salad even though french fries was not included. I left without leaving any tips and complained. I was offered to take a dessert home as a compliment which I didn't want. I'm never going back. It's very disappointing because in the past we had very good experience in this place.

Mixed experience on this visit. First, I requested an outside table but when I arrived, I got an inside table because they had an event that made pthe patio unavailable. While I understand this, I should've been notified that outdoor seating was unavailable when I made my reservation as I would have chosen another restaurant. The service was very slow (due to event, presumably), someone in our party ordered the sirloin done medium rare, but which came out well done. However the lobster roll was good, and someone got the flatbread which they enjoyed. Overall, not great but okay.

Great place to relax, have a great meal with super service! Our waiter Dexter was the best!

Hidden gem! The outdoor seating by the pond was awesome, and the food was great: our party of three loved the Reuben, The Double Cheeseburger and the Turkey Suppah! The Manhattans were generous also! :)
