We saw 4.6 stars so we give it a try. We ordered clam-chowder and fried clam. The chowder tested sour and the fried clam was very creasy and soggy. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Not recommend

This place is awesome! My husband and I got the whole belly clams and fish and chips to share. It was some of the best seafood we've ever had. Everything was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. The woman behind the counter (didn't get her name) was very friendly and helpful. While we were waiting for our order, Jim recommended we go up to the balcony and watch the sunset, which we did and it was lovely. When we thanked him before we left, he gave us some advice on things to do in the area since we are from our of town. A really great local place. Highly recommend!

Quintessential seafood Shack on the wharf. Traveling Main coast and Cape Cod in search of "The Best" lobster roll and none better than Jim's. Either cold w mayo, or hot w butter and either Big or Huge choices.
Haddock, shrimp, and scallops also perfect.
"Perfect" is a big word but does fit Jim's.

Jim's Clam Shack is the local spot to go for fast, fresh, and delicious seafood. Outdoor seating has a beautiful view of the ocean right along the harbor. You can also spot the Island Queen coming back from the Vineyard. Excellent clam chowder and stuffed quahog. Great place to visit if you're looking to have some seafood.

Food was very overpriced for the quality and the staff was very young and not the friendliest. It was a nice stop and great location with amazing views of the water and a lovely roof top seating. However the whole experience including the food and staff wasn't amazing.

Kid-friendliness: Very friendly to kids

Horrible!! I got a small hot lobster roll and a small chowder. It cost close to $40. The lobster roll was horrible. I ate none of it! It was a soggy, greasy roll with only the spongey, “no taste” tips of the claw that is the least desirable meat. The whole entire roll were these tips..not a piece of the good meat of a claw or tail to be found. I didn’t expect it to be jammed with all the prime pieces but could you throw in a little something with some taste?
I did go back to the counter and point this out but was met with only blank stares and a sorry.
Tossed it in the garbage as I was leaving. What a waste of money!! Go elsewhere!!!

We went there today for lunch however the food wasn’t good at all. Clam chowder was ice cold once it got to us , burgers were uncooked even we asked 2 times to be mw
It was a good atmosphere being close to the ocean but I wouldn’t go back there for food.

We had 7 people eating. Everything is expensive, portions are so small, clams undercooked. Fish is bland, $38 lobster roll should have come with fries. Presentation was below par. Would go elsewhere for traditional fried New England seafood. Try Landfall.

Dietary restrictions: Nothing for gluten free.

Super fresh seafood in a tiny shack. I got a jumbo lobster roll, a fried haddock sandwich and a fried clam platter that came with fries. All that was $80. Ultra-modern prices but you are getting the best local fish and shellfish and supporting the industry. I like that. The sandwich didn’t even come with L-T-O but I guess I could have specified that I wanted it. And I should have got the whole belly clams instead; more meaty than the strips. Atmosphere is rustic/salty, benches are low to the ground but comfy and worn out from their loyal followers. It exudes charm, you’re not there for the bathroom. Place was clean, friendly staff, plenty of lot parking and food cooked to order. A few picnic benches outside to soak up the marina vibe. Go and enjoy it.

Love clam shacks. Jim's did not disappoint. My wife got her fix of whole belly clams which were excellent and their clam chowder was spot on so good.

Came to this place because Chat GPT suggested it on our itinerary and we were not disappointed. Loved loved loved the clam chowder. I think it is the best that we have ever had! Hubby enjoyed the fish sandwich while I enjoyed the fried clam strips. Portions were a good size. Don’t forget you are in Cape Cod so everything will cost a little more. Pay cash ?. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was a bit hot for us to sit outside but inside was very nice. I like the no frills roadside stand atmosphere. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Free parking is also a plus!
