It was expensive and wasn't really worth the price... my usual place was closed, so i thought I'd give it a try... but it had a beautiful view rt on the water...

Went for an early dinner after someone apparently made a large to-go order. As a result, they were low or out of a lot (no clams, clam chowder, sweet potato fries, etc. ). Was able to try fried lobster - personally, a waste of sweet lobster. But at least I can say I tried it! It was chilly out, otherwise we would’ve sat outside and enjoyed the ocean view.

We savored Jim's Clam Shack the last day of the season before they closed up. Six of us went. That was my wife and our dog, my wife's friend who I ran a half marathon with the day before, the friend's sister who ran much faster in the same race, and the sister's husband, and me. We, my wife's friend and I, had passed the place at mile 12 of the event -- my running companion is long suffering, since I use a run-walk method timed by telephone poles (2-1, 2-1, 2-1). We already planned to return. Research, including here, had suggested it would be a good choice for lunch, and it was perfect. The full marathon, scheduled a day after the half to allow those wishing to test themselves a two race weekend, was headed past us as we dined. It was sunny but windy on the water where they have three picnic tables. We were the first in line. We were there early, before they opened. So we walked the dog a bit and cheered on the runners -- my wife prompted me to do that. She said I would have appreciated it, which is true, except, as I retorted, it seems strangely a parody if it's a random individual doing it rather than a little group organized for that purpose. With six people, we were able to sample: lobster roll, fried lobster roll, clam belly, clam strips, onion rings. Seafood is what to order when you are at Cape Cod. I had not understood until recently the clam strip and the clam belly are different parts and hence different orders. I wouldn't pick the former. But my wife doesn't like the latter, for being too visceral. The lobster was simple, as it should be, the meat on a breaded bun. The fried lobster roll was, other than the preparation, similarly straightforward. The clam bellies were plump and moderately breaded. The clam strips were plentiful, with French fries. The "boat" option omits the accompaniments (the fries and also cole slaw). The onion rings were standard fare. The pricing was average. The had all the toppings you'd want, whether hot sauce, ketchup, mustard, tartar, or whatnot. The lead staff person was enthusiastic in greeting everyone. She was chatty. I asked whether the marathon was good. She said it was except the crowds made for a crowd. She assured me Jim was real. They are not family though. She was friendly enough I felt I should tip extra. I put additional cash into the jar.If I were in Falmouth, I would go back. Since I don't expect to be there again, at least not soon, I'd encourage others to patronize it. The Cape Cod half marathon, I also would opine, is a well organized race along a scenic route. If I were to return, it likely would be to compete in that.

Coming from a person who eats a lot of fried seafood (don't tell my doctor) this is my favorite seafood place. We drive out of our way on our annual trip to Provincetown just to come here. We once stood in line behind someone who told us that they drove 4 hours (!) out of their way to eat there. We usually get the fried clam strips and fried scallops. I'm not sure how they do it, but everything is 'like butta.' The coleslaw is also my favorite. And you can get everything and eat outside with the most amazing water views. An A+ experience!

Clams. Scallops. So good. This is a very minimalist clam shack right on the water facing the bay, effectively no social media presence, website isn't updated. Basically because they don't need to as they frequently get lines our the door. They are known for fried clams, scallops, fish, and shrimp, lobster rolls, was told not to bother with the chowder.

Since new owners several years ago I made one visit and was disappointed. I returned this weekend and ordered the whole belly fried clam roll along with a fish sandwich, absolutely stellar. So glad to see this superb location on top of its game. Looking forward to my next visit.

10/10, we come every summer for a day trip to the cape. This is the place to go for a classic New England fried food!Plenty of parking on the street and the far fence of the marina, tables indoors and out, and wheelchair accessible on the dock.

We had a delicious seafood lunch on Sunday after our Sail on The Liberte .Sat outside at one of numerous picnic tables, all with views of Vineyard Sound and the busy Falmouth Harbor. The service was fast and friendly, the Oysters and Clams were Outstanding!

Crabby patty was delicious. Clam strips were awesome. Dog friendly! Seating is right on the water. Awesome place.

Nice little clam shack, right on the harbor. Fried clam bellies were excellent, fried scallops were interesting but would probably go with shrimp next time (I think I just prefer scallops in different preparations). Mostly outdoor seating, we sat on the roof deck. It was windy, but a great view of the harbor.
