Save you money, time and patience (and avoid the incredibly rude treatment) and get pastries at Roche Bros, Whole Foods, Market Basket, wherever but not here. I lived in Europe and France for many years and although these pastries LOOK wonderful, they were very mediocre. The prices were insanely high. We waited more than 30 mins, half of it outside in bitter cold weather - no one could figure out where the line was and people kept cutting the line. Only one person filling orders with no organization. They looked like hated being there.

Delicious pastries!
Recommended dishes: Bakery, Croissant
Bought pastries for friends and myself. Owner helped serve and even gave two extra pastries to fill my box and offer something in addition. You don't often get that and it was such a kind gesture and made my day. I felt no guilt in eating a cookie as soon as I got in the truck. Thank you, I've been a new patron for 2 yrs will continue for as long as I can.

Flies on bread!!!!!
The queue wasn't organized, and it took about 30 minutes just to order. Since the staff has to pick up every single item, it makes the process very slow. Also, because customers can't get close to the products, flies were gathering around the less popular items.
To solve these issues, switching to a self-service style where customers pick their own bread and bring it to the register would likely clear up the congestion. This would also significantly reduce the workload for your staff

I visited the Woods Hole location and experienced bad hospitality, not once but several times, with the same girl. The very first time I went into the location, my husband, son, and I were not greeted by a girl staff member or acknowledged that we were in the store. Once I placed my order, she did not even help us. I found that weird at the time, but thought very little of it, and the guy working with her had to step in and take our order. Today, I was with my husband and son again, as we are from the Vineyard and wanted to grab something while heading back to the boat. Once we went in the door, she gave us a very unpleasant look, turned to the side, and mouthed something to her coworker. She kept looking at us in a mean demeanor while never once greeting us. I said hello. She came forward around the corner and just gave me a look without saying anything at all . I said are you even going to say hi and acknowledge that we are here trying to place a order and told her she was rude honestly . Her response was nothing never I am sorry , or no I didn’t treat you in this manner and I apologize for that it’s my fault . Instead she turned around and walked away. For her to do that speaks a lot of volumes . She greeted other costumers while we were in their but acting like we didn’t exist . I am a person who is mixed and I was hoping I did not have to say it is a color issue but she treated us a lot differently. I have spoke with close friends and family members from the island who are also of color and have experienced the same demeanor with this girl . It’s been three days since I have reached out to this business and haven’t gotten a word on a apology or update on what had been done about this behavior.
An absolute gem of a bakery! My only complaint is that I just wish I lived closer! Don't leave Falmouth without a baguette and some fresh croissants.

Maison Villatte is such a gem! The staff were so inviting and friendly. My younger brother picked out a croissant, but they gave it to us for free! On top of that, they bagged up a bunch of extra bread and charged us not even a single cent. It was a really kind gesture and totally made our day. The bakery itself is super inviting, and their generosity has made it a place we'll definitely visit again! Thank you so much!

Fantastic French bakery. The croissants are crispy on the outside, soft and buttery on the inside. The chocolate pots de créme are rich and creamy. The cookies are crunchy with yummy chocolate chunks. And the breads are irresistible. The best bakery on the cape.

The pastries & quiches at Maison Villatte are delicious and it was so easy to do catering. I reached out about a week before my wedding and I was able to customize our tray with exactly what I wanted for the bridesmaids' breakfast. I've been back several times since then, and will continue to drop in whenever I’m in Falmouth!
