Food was amazing. The only downside is no liquor license... because I do enjoy a glass of plum wine with Japanese food.
Good food, cozy spot, does fill up fast but worth the full house

We ordered sushi from Kaizen as we've done before many times both dining in and takeout. This time it was takeout. We ordered two spicy tuna rolls and one kaizen special roll. Both tasted overly fishy and were inedible. Also order a side of eel sauce which was watery almost like oil, and not thick and tasty as it usually is. The two ginger salads were excellent. Called and spoke to hostess to let her know of our dissatisfaction with the sushi quality/taste. She was very sweet and said she had to talk to the owner Donny. She said the only way for use to get a refund was to bring sushi back. We live in west springfield so driving back 15 minutes one way and back the other wasn't really the best solution just so Donny could see quality of the food. I was told there were dozens of rollls made tonight and no other complaints. I asked again for refund, and let her know we ate there often - she said no, the only way to get a refund is to bring back the food. I declined and said how unfortunate this was, and that they would be losing a long time customer due to this.
Instead of being so stubborn, Donny should have done the right thing and credited us. Word of mouth goes around fast in the small town.

Went to Kaisen today for dinner. Gaby, our waitress, was fantastic! She gave us great recommendations and she was right on target! Food was delicious and sushi were so fresh! I really affordable place for amazing food! Highly recommended! Customer service 10 out of 10!
I enjoy Kaisens food.. the wait times have been excessive at times.. But unfortunately this last order I pulled a big piece of plastic out of my Kani salad...
Kaisen is a hidden gem! It is very clean, lots of parking, friendly staff and most importantly the food is delicious and fresh 😋. Toni was our waitress and she was excellent. I also love the fact you can bring your own beer and wine.
Brought my 11 and 6 year old here and the limited time SpongeBob themed menu was awesome! The kids really enjoyed the plankton roll, Patrick Star's ramen, Jellyfish Shrimp and the Barnacle Boy Tempura Ice cream was amazing - I would only skip the Who Lives In a Pineapple fried rice, the only underwhelming thing we had.
The service was AMAZING! Very attentive and kind servers. We will definitely be back, highly recommend!
Great place to eat and chill. Great service and conversation. Just all around Great, best place ever!
