Because we were craving for Japanese food and we happened in the neighborhood, we decided to give this place a try. The food was generally good but not great. We had Tako Su (average), soft shell crab tempura (good), chicken wings (excellent), whitefish katsu (quite disappointed), and some sashimi (good and quite fresh). This place is quite casual and the service is good.

We discovered this place recently. We drive by it at least once a week, and somehow it never caught my attention until one day I couldn’t decide where to get lunch from and luckily we decided to try Aoi. I ordered a ramen that was so good, but my partner ordered sushi and it was so good. Will be definitely back to have more sushi and take sone pictures, which we forgot this time, because of how hungry we were.

It took a while before we had our order taken but they were busy and we were in a far corner. Large variety of items on the menu from noodle dishes, rice dishes to sushi and sashimi. Food was satisfying and portions were filling. The cut seemed interesting for some of the sashimi, but they were decently sized. Ambiance wise it is casual with parties ranging from families with babies to couples on dates. The place is decorated well and tables well spaced.

Recommended by a friend, the overall taste is okay, the environment is relatively bad, the service is very good, it is still ok for friends to get together, the main reason is that it is cost-effective!

Not sure why the two entrees were not served at the same time. In particular, the hot entree was served first and turned cold while waiting for the other to come... everything else was good. The server was nice and friendly and apologized for the serving speed.
