Red Barn is a good local coffee shop. They offer a good selection of bagged coffee, take out coffee, and baked goods. While they offer some gluten-free options, their gluten-free selection has recently declined in quality.
This is a laid back place with a country store feel. Some indoor seating and an outdoor patio. Stopped by today for some muffin tops and pastries to go.. Muffins, morning glory and blueberry were excellent... very fresh & moist. My pecan and raspberry pastry was enjoyable but a bit dry. A good place for lunch... salads, soups, sandwiches. Excellent, friendly service..
I work near the Red Barn on Route 9 Eastbound (also shown as 20 Turnpike Road). The Trip Advisor listing uses the address of ANOTHER nearby Red Barn. I haven't been to that one. The one I have visited - which looks JUST like the picture on this listing - has great (big, fresh) salads and lunch as well as sandwiches (grilled cheese & pear for example, which I didn't try). You can eat inside or out). It doesn't look like a restaurant but I was introduced to it...
