Tavern in the Square Framingham

We had a great time at Tavern on the Square Sunday night! The Server Maddy was AWESOME! We all enjoyed our selections, everything was delicious! It does get a bit noisy especially on a weekend night but that's part of the ambience :-)

Usually no problems with Tavern every time we've gone there. However, we arrived at 1:15pm and it was jammed packed. Small wait for table. Ordered two hamburgers medium and after 1/2 hour food came out with french fries very cold. My burger was fine, but wife's burger more well done than medium and very greasy. We did not want wait for another burger to be cooked, so after finishing my meal we left. Management was kind enough to take wife's meal off the check. This is probably a one off for Tavern since they've always been consistently good.

The food was very good and our waitress was very kind sweet and attentive. I have been there several times and the only drawback is the noise. It is often difficult to have a conversation with the people you are sitting with

On a busy Sunday afternoon our party of eight was seated shortly after our reservation time. Our server Josh, was efficient and attentive throughout our meal despite the crowded restaurant. Our waters were frequently refilled by Josh without us having to ask. After taking our orders, he confirmed each one to ensure that the little tweaks (i.e. no cilantro, etc.)were included in his notes/order. The food did seem to take a little bit, but understandable because of the busyness of the restaurant. Each meal arrived as ordered, and the servings were quite generous. Everyone in our party seemed to enjoy their meals and again the service could not have been better!

Sometimes the food can be better or worse at different times, but it was really excellent last night. We had the southwest greens with sirloin steak, house salad with salmon, chicken tenders, and mac and cheese. We were all very satisfied with our food and drinks. Excited to return.

I had a beautiful dinner in a warm atmosphere. My server James was attentive and friendly!

Made the reservation on the spur of the moment and as always was not disappointed. Great booth as requested and the food and service were superb. My wife has a shell fish allergy and they did not miss a beat nor did it delay our food order. Thank you all for another wonderful expereince.

The food is NOT worth the price

Extremely low quality considering the price

I ordered the steak tips my mashed potatoes tastes like they came out of a box and the broccoli like it was microwaved.. very little portion of steak tips for 30 bucks

We also had a grain bowl and the chicken was extremely dry.. very average

We decided to get take out tonight and this how our quesadilla looks. How is this even allowed to be packed and send out to a costumer? Both sides are completely burnt. Really disappointed.

Imagine charging customers $7.50 for a side of rice in a pub/American grill bar. This place does. You can get sides of rice at more upscale places for under $4. Inflation is not an excuse. This place is taking advantage. The rice isn’t even close to being good.

Great place to meet friends for drinks and appetizers. Our wait person, Mckenzie, was friendly and attentive!
