Worst brisket I’ve had in years. If it was smoked at all I couldn’t detect it. No smoke ring. Basically pot roast. Fries good. Collard had brisket not ham or bacon, not to my taste.

Food wasn’t the best and was cold. The wide variety menu and pricing is the only reason this isn’t a 1.

Always loved the brisket until tonight nothing but fat and tough pieces almost inedible wasted $30 bucks!

Brisket was dry, pulled chicken soso. Mac and cheese was good, chicken and wings were better than the meat.

Food was excellent. Quick affordable delicious smoked BBQ. Menu is a pretty good size as well.

I got the 1/2 chicken with three sides for 15.99 and what a steal that price is. A ton of food!

My lady got the chicken burrito and it was packed with food and flavor. Their sides are great too! I got a sweet potato, cucumber salad and corn on the cob that was to die for. Will definitely be returning back to this place. So close as well!

I have had real BBQ in Tennessee and this ain’t it. Flavors were ok but lacking few key things. First off the brisket was so dry. It looked old and almost like a dried up pork chop instead of fresh cut brisket. The smoked wings seemed like could have used some extra time in smoker. The Mac and cheese and potatoe were beyond basic. The ribs, mashed potatoes and slaw were on point and saved the day from a complete let down. Unfortunately this was a one and done for me.

Worst BBQ I’ve ever had. The food was definitely old. Cost us $55 for lunch and we left having eaten almost nothing. I ordered “pulled chicken”, which they say is smoked chicken… well, it doesn’t look at all like pulled chicken. It was chopped (roughly, at that) and had the most foul taste I’ve encountered in a long time. The sweet potatoes I got as a side looked old and microwaved and went in the trash. Do not recommend. The fact that they don’t even have name brand soda in their soda fountain, should have been a reason to turn around and leave by itself. Definitely a forewarning there!

I understand that many businesses are struggling. It’s hard to keep up with building repairs, paying staff and vendors etc. but a restaurant that actually *tries* goes much farther than one that serves a customer sweet potatoes that should have been thrown out a week ago.

The most authentic North Carolina style pulled pork I've had outside of North Carolina. And basically everything else on the menu is amazing!

I recently dined at this establishment, and I must commend them for their unique approach to ambiance—though I suspect it wasn’t intentional. The bathrooms, for instance, offered a truly memorable experience; calling them "unusable" would be a generous understatement. Their state of filth and pervasive stench would make even the most seasoned traveler reconsider their dinner plans.

The overall atmosphere of the place is an impressive feat in itself, managing to blur the lines between "charmingly rustic" and "uncomfortably unsanitary." The pervasive smell of damp mildew and musty basement only enhances the experience.

As for the food, it sadly lived up to the surroundings. It was as unremarkable as the rest of the establishment, failing to make any impact beyond its mediocrity. If you’re seeking an experience that redefines the boundaries of cleanliness and culinary delight, this place might just be your spot—though not for the reasons you might hope.

In on vacation and was looking for a family friendly restaurant that was quick but not fast food. Great selection at reasonable prices for the portions. Everything was delicious! Make sure you get their cornbread! We ordered extra cornbread to go because it was so good! Highly recommend!

Kid-friendliness: Nice selection for kids who don’t love bbq. Fantastic portions for the price.

Horrible management, avoid this place!! I ordered here online and they gave my food to someone else. Usually that’s not an issue, but this place refused to replace the order and wanted me to pay them again for another one. I also overheard the manager going behind the register area and trash-talking me. The management here really needs to change.

I am currently in Mass for work, but I live in Tennessee. Naturally, I had to try the joint named Tennessee BBQ.

Service was "okay" at best, definitely not the southern welcome you'd except from a BBQ joint, but it's Massachusetts so I can understand.

Ordered a pulled pork sandwich, carolina tangy style. I took 2 bites and had to toss the rest. Arguably the worst "pulled pork" I've ever tasted. It was extremely soggy, tasted days old, and overall not quality pork. The corn bread was damp, almost soggy and the taste wasn't much better. The best part was the mashed taters and gravy, and those weren't anything to write home about.

Overall, I was extremely disappointed, and I went in with fairly low expectations considering the location and the fact I am blessed with actual southern BBQ back home.

With all that said, the absolute worst crime committed was the lack of real sweet tea. A BBQ resteraunt is not complete with out real sweet tea. A machine that mixes syrup and water, or bottle Arizona tea is the ultimate sin for a BBQ joint.

The decor was pretty good, right amount of wear and tear and rustic feel. Considering the building and surrounding area, the decor is the best part to make it feel authentic.

What happened to this place? Used to be a consistent and good BBQ place but the last two times I've came in have been Clockwork Orange. The food tastes like it was all made two days ago, it's mushy and sloppy and the pulled pork has Italian dressing in it. 24$ later, and I'm leaving hungry.
