The new location is such an improvement. The staff is wonderful, the food is great and the atmosphere is comfortable. My husband and I have become regulars here and they are always accommodating and happy to see us.

My family and I love the new Sawa location in Gardner. The atmosphere is great, with really zen decor, but more importantly the food is insanely good. Right now it's our kids favorite restaurant in the area. (We live in Westminster and have a 12 yr old, 10 yr old and a 4 yr old).

Sawa is a great spot with outdoor seating, great drinks & unique food. Try the ginger chicken & shrimp, beef & fried scallops, pink lady roll & patriot’s maki! Their mojitos are amazing too!
Our waitress, Winnie was so much fun. She was sharp and witty and kept everyone at our table laughing.

Sawa is one of my favorite restaurants, always coming up with new drinks & unique food. Great service and fresh ingredients. Try the pink lady or patriot’s maki! If you like Chinese try the ginger chicken & shrimp or beef with fried scallops. Oh and highly recommend the Korean bi Bim bop!

Amazing Japanese Dining Experience!** ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently visited Sawa Asian Cuisine and was completely blown away by the quality of the food and service! The sushi was incredibly fresh, with melt-in-your-mouth texture, and the presentation was like edible art. The miso soup had a perfect balance of flavors, and the tempura was light and crispy—just as it should be. What truly stood out was the attention to detail. The staff was polite, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations (try the Peking Duck if you go!). The ambiance was serene, with authentic Japanese decor that added to the experience. For anyone craving authentic Japanese cuisine, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Sad that Southside Grille had to close. Pleased that it’s being repurposed for another dining location for friends and family.
When you enter the restaurant - it’s like you’re entering a whole new world.
Very high end & nicely decorated. Love the Asian decor - starting with the rock wall when you walk in, to a bonsai tree, and additional art pieces.
Continued this “fine dining” experience with a Pineapple Passion ($9.50) which tasted like a vacation.
My siblings and I split some dumplings as an appetizer and those were good!
Great lunch special. For about $15 - you get a soup, appetizer, sushi, and main entree.
The won ton soup kinda tasted like Ramen but I still enjoyed it. I don’t like sushi so I swapped my appetizer with my sister . If you order the crab rangoons as your appetizer you will get 2 and they’re tasty. Primarily cream cheese (which is how I like them, I don’t like them too crabby).
When I first went to Sawa (original location), I got the coconut shrimp. My mom recommended this dish and it’s so yummy! I don’t think I’ll ever change my order up. Happy both times.
Only recommendation is to improve online website - especially with having two locations, can cause some confusion.
Me & my sister were getting different information and had to clarify locations a few times. Brother stated there was confusion with delivery orders in the past.
Bathroom space was unique but convenient. There’s a space to change babies and sinks outside the restroom area - which could be nice for those who just want to wash hands before/after a meal.
They have a spot for suggestive and custom tips at the bottom of your receipt - which are accurate! Often I find that other businesses lie with those numbers, so they get points for that too!
Overall, very impressed! They’ve mastered the ability for casual dining to feel upscale at affordable prices.

Will never go back! Worst customer service experience ever at a restaurant! Beautiful place they moved too and redid but the food and cost is also not worth it. Crab rangoons were very doughie. Nothing we got was over the top good for the price. Got 4 super thin pieces of chicken on a bed of cheap veggies for 18 dollars.. NO THANKS. You pay EXTRA for a very small bowl of rice with an ENTREE. ENTREE to me means comes with sides and not just meat. Not pay extra for a side!!!
