So I recently dined in at the Gill Tavern with a co-worker on a random Thursday night and was super impressed with my entire dining experience. So impressed I made reservations for that Saturday night to go out w/my fiancé and another couple.On both occasions, everyone loved it!!! The food was absolutely delicious, cocktails were skillfully crafted and the service was top notch.Definitely our new new go-to for date nights or going out with family and friends.

Cannot recommend enough. I had a super fresh local skirt steak dish served with local acorn squash, which was outstanding. My wife had the beef stroganoff special - made with fresh pasta and local mushrooms. Great service, and a great dinner made with care.

Good service. Only writing this review because the quality of the food has declined over the four times I've visited in the last few years, and I really hope someone reads this, cook to cook. They source high quality, local ingredients, which, on top of being the only fine dining restaurant in the area and limited seating, contributes to their astronomically priced menu. Portions small and not seasoned properly, was served stale crackers with an appetizer, and burger and steak were both not cooked to order (overdone), which for the price is unacceptable. There are a lot of good reasons to price your menu as it is, but if you're going to source high-quality, local ingredients, cook them properly. Fine dining prices require fine dining dishes.

We can't wait to go back! The food was excellent and the menu left me wanting to try more. The staff was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was intimate and comfortable while also being open and quite spacious when you consider the outside dining. My family and i ate outside where they had a fire pit. It was an excellent evening and we can't wait to return.

Probably the best place I've eaten in the area. We shared two different meals and literally everything was done well and a great experience. And it is a truly historic tavern experience. The price is really aren't that bad. Little less than $60 for the two of us for our meals.
