I swear all 99s look the same. We had lunch and it wasn't great the bartender was ok. The portions were very small compared to the one by my house

At this point, the 99 might have other things on the menu, but we wouldn’t know—we’ve been in a deep enough rut that it’s always steak tips and boneless wings, every time. And honestly? No complaints. The steak tips are solid, cooked right, and the wings hit the comfort food spot. Service is usually friendly, food comes out quick enough, and you know what you’re getting. Nothing fancy, just dependable. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want. PS, wait staff is ALWAYS hustling when we visit!

Large New England chain restaurant. This is our first time here . Pretty impressed, large menu selection. Staff very good. Large bar area. Menu photos as of June 2025.

I ordered the Vermont chicken sandwich and the chicken was not cooked. When I was able to tell the waitress, she took it away and then I had to wait for them to make a whole new meal for me. I would have expected some kind of compensation for this issue because I could have gotten very sick if I had eaten the chicken but nothing was offered except a new meal. I was very disappointed in this, especially as this has been my favorite restaurant for a long time.
In addition, I had to wait for about ten minutes before the waitress even came over to me for the first time. I know they were busy, but this seemed extreme.

The service was excellent, and the decor had a personal touch from the town I really appreciated. My only frustration came with the frequency of the menu changes.

We were travelling home from Scranton PA and stopped to get a bite for lunch. We both ordered the lunch brooled schrod but to our dismay the fish was extremely overcooked with the toppings being black. We brought it to our waitress attention and she did comp us one meal. We were in a hurry so we didn't have time for a remake. It would seem to me they wouldn't have even served it to us looking the way it did.

I had my 1st bad experience here. It is March at the time of writing this, and they still have christmas decorations up, trees, and everything else, which, in my opinion, is not in good taste. We ordered the NY Strip steak that was supposed to be seasoned. However, it came unseasoned and bland. Our server apologized and said the chef who typically cooks the steak was not scheduled to work sunday. I was baffled by this statement. So, no one in the kitchen knows how to season a steak? She brought us some au jus in an attempt to make the bland steak somewhat better, which did not work, unfortunately. I spent almost $100 and felt like I was ripped off. I usually have a great experience at our local 99 and have left great reviews in the past. Cmon 99, you can do better than this.
