Everything is quite nice at Forge and Vine. My only complaint is that I ordered the short rib hash for brunch and there was practically no short rib in it - a tiny bit in a bite or two. It was the most expensive item on the menu and I assumed that was because there would be a significant amount of short rib in it.
Very nice place, has a open kitchen layout in the front area and a room with a ton a windows in the back great food modified the fancy drinks to be non alcoholic for us nice menu very kind and polite staff
Once I was able to find the restaurant, behind the inn, and find a parking space, showing how popular the restaurant was, my wife and I were able to get off on the right foot. Our server, Lorien, was very friendly, and offered valuable insight into the menu, to help make decisions on our meals. In terms of what was on the menu, I don't think I've ever had a flatbread dish for an appetizer, but it certainly makes me want to try them more, with the delicious mushrooms, marscapone paired with the tasty balsamic. For my entree, I had the filet mignon with the delicious peppercorn sauce, and we finished with another dish I'd never had before, coffee and donuts. The service was very well paced, as we enjoyed our time before the concert, giving us plenty of time to get to the venue. It was a first time we'd eaten there, but I feel we'll be coming back soon, as I found the overall experience to be slightly higher compared to another restaurant in the same town that we've gone to a few times.
Absolutely will be returning. Great vibe, great setup and really cool view. Food was excellent and service pace was great too. We had time to enjoy each course and talk without feeling we had to rush before the next arrived.
Excellent experience. Food, service, and ambience are very good. Forge and Vine is a good go-to for us when we are looking for an enjoyable meal and good company. We always leave happy and satisfied.
Welcoming and Pleasant Hostesses, Lively Atmosphere - Nice Wine Selection, Creative, Fresh Salads: Roasted Cauliflower and New England Waldorf were Well-Prepared and Delicious! Had the Forge & Vine Cheeseburgers which were fantastic! Smoked Maple Cheddar and other toppings - cooked perfectly! Service by Lauren was also Terrific! Continues to be a Great Spot for Dinner!
Came to Groton for an event at Groton Hill. We stayed overnight at the Groton Inn, and enjoyed a lovely dinner at Forge and Vine. This was our first time visiting the area, and are so glad we found the Forge. Everything about the dining experience was top notch, and we look forward to finding an event to return for.
Lovely relaxing experience. Jessica was our server and she was attentive and intuitive. The restaurant was roomy but still also cozy. I had salmon which was cooked med rare to perfection. My friend had scallops, also perfectly done. We finished out with the pear pavlova which was delicate and flavorful. Very happy with our dinner!
Always a pleasure dining here. This visit was particularly nice as we went kind of on the early end; allowed for a very serene experience. Definitely recommend!
(Minor navigation note: park at the back of the lot: the restaurant is in a separate building behind the inn.) An excellent option for a pre-concert meal at the Groton Hill. Food, service, vlaue, and ambiance are all spot on.

Oysters cold and fresh, somewhat expensive because of time of year (February). Half chicken nicely prepared and presented. Ample serving; my wife and I took half our dinners home for another dinner at home.
Great pre-show meal. Staff was attentive and efficient. The whole meal was great. The blood orange sorbet should be on every menu!
The food at Forge and Vine was exceptional. We started with the grilled shrimp appetizer. This was the perfect accompaniment to our martinis. For our main course my husband had the pork ragu. He enjoyed every bite. I had the cod with braised leeks, mushrooms and fingerling potatoes. Everything was seasoned perfectly and quite delicious . Our waitress Holly recommended a wine to go with the fish. It turned out to be a great pairing. Her help and attention to detail was most impressive. This was our first time at Forge and Vine. Based on the food and exceptional service we highly recommend. We are looking forward to returning.
My meal was slightly overcooked. Our server quickly offered to replace it which, though appreciative of the offer, I said wasn't necessary. Later the manager came by, apologized for overcooking my meal and presented me with a gift card for my next visit. Very appreciative of the offer and plan to return and recommend Forge and Vine to all my friends. Great customer service!!
Food and service were excellent. Second time we have been there and everything was great from the crispy beef lettuce cups to the apple pie fritter for dessert.
