Took over an hour and a half to get our food. Almost missed a concert and only didn't because we had them package all our food to go. The halibut meal, when we got home, was sized for a child and $48. Attempted to reach out to them since then and have only gotten silence in return. Will not be going back. Highly recommending Gibbet Hill instead where you will get excellent food and service.

The food was incredible and the service was very friendly. My only small issue was I made a reservation a week in advance for my birthday and my wife and I were seated at an incredibly small high top table at the bar. Definitely took away from the experience but I suppose we will need to be more specific next time around..

I got a hamburger last night. I am fairly sure it was a frozen burger not a freshly made patty.. 30 dollar burger should be freshly ground beef.

I was so looking forward to dining here, but was let down! I had my reservation made 3 weeks in advance.

We were here this past Saturday at about 5:30. We drove around the parking lot for 10 minutes before snatching a spot. We were surprised that the parking lot for the restaurant and inn were entirely full and there was no overflow parking.

Once inside, we quickly were seated at our table. It took about 30 minute to get our appetizer. After getting our appetizer, we did not see our server for a while…approximately 45 minutes after finishing our appetizer, a manager came to our table and apologized for the delay for our entrees. They referenced that it was a Saturday night and they were busy-presumably any good restaurant would be!

They comped our appetizer which was kind, but it didn’t undo the fact it took over 80 minutes into our dinner service to get our entrees.

In all the free time we had sitting at our table, we noticed one of the tables next to us was served an incorrect order and another table next to us requested their entrees be packed to go due to how long it took them to receive their meals. It was apparent we were not the only diners having less than desirable experiences here.

The food we had was delicious, however the restaurant failed to smoothly operate which left us with little desire to return.

Was really looking forward to going here for the first time. Walking in it’s a beautiful place, but then was seated at a TINY table, no place to hang coat?? Barely had room for my purse. Bailey our waitress was awesome. The cocktails were just ok, I drink Cosmopolitan’s this one had too much Cointreau, very syrup tasting. Charcuterie board was delicious, but again, difficult to eat due to size of table. My husband got the New York Strip, which I believe was over $50. He did not like it at all! Not a great cut. I got the Short Rib, it was dry and hard on the outside, the mashed potatoes and Demi glaze was luke warm. We hate complaining, so we didn’t, so in there defense they couldn’t make it right as we didn’t give them the chance. Menu is limited. So we tried it, but won’t recommend or go back. A lot of $$ for poor quality. But service was great!!

I have eaten here a dozen or so times as I live in Groton. I love the ambiance and so want to love it, but it never fails to disappoint. The food is generally not good and passable at best. The service is hit or miss and there seems little enthusiasm from ownership and staff in making the food and experience what it ought to be at these prices.

We had a party of 10 on Sunday Dec 22nd. The service was incredibly slow. We had to repeatedly ask for drinks, salad came out with no dressing, and we did not get our dinners until 7:45 - more than 2 hours after we arrived. Nobody from restaurant management came by either to explain why they were so backed up, etc. That will be my last time going there.

It's not bad here. It tries to be high end but just misses. The food is not high end but the area has minimal options. The local clientele is wealthy so it allows for high end pricing.

We dine here regularly, we have noticed the food quality has gone down hill since the beginning. We used to love going to forge and vine, but now we do not think the quality of the menu matches the price. The staff is wonderful and the environment is great but the food is not worth the price, we can find better food for a better price

Beautiful location and scenery.

Host was a bit cold and staff as I walked around to see the set up of the rest of the restaurant.

Food was delicious salmon and scallops. Food was just enough. You won’t be taking anything home.

Dessert menu kind of limited and homemade ice cream no longer. Pumpkin cheesecake was small and $12. Nothing spectacular.

No option for a cappuccino.

Nice rustic atmosphere.

The Honest Truth

Very nice server. Super sweet. 95 dollar porter house not cooked at all how it was requested. Asked for a reheat and all they did was throw some sauce over to cover the red color. Ordered medium came out rare twice. Not coming back.

Went on a Monday. Atmosphere and service was great. Food not so much. I had short ribs, it was lukewarm and not much sauce. Wife had the scallops with pork belly with a maple syrup glaze. The pork belly was tough, with very little flavor. This too was lukewarm. Daughter had chicken Milanese. Yup, she had to ask for more sauce. She said that the chicken was perfect. We split an apple tart with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, delicious! This was the second time we’ve been there. First time (a year ago) was awesome. What happened?

We brought a friend who had not been since the restaurant first opened. She loved the atmosphere and food so much that she canceled a reservation at a nearby restaurant and made one at Forge & Vine!

We took our aunt to Forge and Vine for her Birthday. Our server, Bailey was amazing. We had a little more than a hour and she made sure that we get all our food on time! All dishes were very tasty and prepared with love. View from the window was beautiful! What a wonderful experience!
