Let me first start out by saying I never write reviews. But this restaurant has caught my attention. My husband and I decided to make reservations because we were interested in some upscale seafood and since we had never been before, we thought Salt would be a nice place to try out. Boy was the food FANTASTIC. The service? Absolutely amazing. We had Brandon as our server and he was personable, he knew what to recommend and he was just a delight to have served us. We ordered a 1/2 dozen oysters (I ate them all - delicious), the Chilean sea bass over risotto (PHENOMENAL) and the catch of the day (I don't remember the name of the fish, but it was amazing). Even the drinks were great. I could not stop talking about how great our food and service was after we left, which I don't typically do. IMO, it was worth every penny spent. My husband and I will definitely be back and Brandon? We will definitely request him when we come back.

We had the BEST experience at Salt on Mass! From the moment we walked in, the service was absolutely excellent. The owner came over to speak with us and was so kind and welcoming...it really made the night feel special. The food was delicious. I ordered the Fire Pasta and highly recommend it...so flavorful! Everyone in our group loved their meals. We were celebrating my friend's bachelorette party, and the staff went above and beyond to make her feel so special. Our waiter, Ryan, was incredibly friendly and attentive the entire night. Such a fun, memorable experience...we will definitely be back!

Only writing this because it is not the first time. I love it here but I love the avacado toast and The past few times I have gotten it. It is missing the chipotle, hot sauce, and chimichurri. I get it to go because I work in town so I don’t notice before I am already out of bakery. For $12 toast I would like the toppings expected on my toast.

Amazing experience!! Waiter named Brandon was super nice and helpful! He explained the specials they had going on and pretty much helped up figure out what we wanted to order. My partner and I came looking for a specific taste and we got exactly that. We will be back at salt !! 1000/10

I'm biased towards small local cafes with a cozy vibe and this fit right in. The cappuccino was a bit strong/dark for my liking so I'll try the regular drip one next time. Couple of vegetarian friendly choices to eat and parking was available despite being on a busy street.

Had a wonderful New Year's Eve! Full menu plus a special menu; everything was delicious. Service was a little rushed once ordered; and restaurant was packed, so it was louder. But a good celebratory vibe!
We have had great meals at Salt in the past and wanted to change our New Year's this year so we was excited to go to Salt. Unfortunately this visit was a disappointment. My boyfriend had the chefs special surf and turf. The lobster was barely warm so it appeared pre prepared, the steak was ordered medium well but was rare at best. He won't return food so it was not a pleasure. We had to wait too long for desert. It was a disappointment for a expensive meal. When you put out good money and the resturant takes advantage it just makes you feel ignored. I assume my boyfriend will return for a one time event but set a bad start for the new year. I'm sure he will not tie a big event to Salt again and rely on St Elmos, Harry and Izzy, or Ruth's in the future.
