An incredible dining experience! The food was beautifully presented and incredibly delicious! The staff was amazing and attentive! Outdoor cocktails and appetizers overlooking a beautiful landscape and warmed by a fire...just perfect! A special thank you to Derek who was extremely helpful and attentive!..

Absolutely the best meal, with the nicest staff, in an antique barn. I loved how unpretentious the whole evening was.

We had an excellent dinner at the Herb Lyceum this evening. It seems that they run special types of dinners, and they are currently being a Bistro. The menu had a choice of 3 appetizers, 3 entrees, and 2 desserts. Our waiter walked us through the entire menu and described how each dish was prepared -- this was very enticing. We had the Foie Gras Poutine and the Lobster Quenelle for appetizers. Both delicious. For the entrees, we had the Mushroom Risotto and the Scallops Grenobloise. The mushrooms (4 varieties) came from a local farm (and our local farm CSA includes mushrooms from the same farm). One of the mushrooms was fried crispy and added a truly delightful crunch to the risotto. Finally we both ended with the Tarte Tartin which was served with brown butter ice cream. Again, this was excellent. After we finished, we chatted with the head chef and complimented him! All in all, this was a very enjoyable evening.

The Herb Lyceum is a must! I organized a dinner for 30 in their barn a few weeks ago. The food was absolutely amazing. They catered to the diets of our guests and even managed to come up with a GF vegan dessert which was fantastic. The staff was very welcoming. Overall, we had a night to remember.

My partner and I went here for a date night dinner recently after hearing about it from some friends. We made reservations and were promptly seated upon our arrival. Our server was knowledgable, attentive, and gracious during our meal, offering info on other dining options that they have throughout the year as well as a little background on the farm/bistro. The food was above expectations as my partner (of whom is from French origin), said it was the best meal he's had in MA. What an accolade! I too greatly enjoyed it and really tasted the freshness of each ingredient and the passion of the kitchen. Thanks again for a wonderful meal and atmosphere, we will definitely return!

Lovely experience at the bistro night at the Herb Lyceum! Each course tasted amazing, came out fresh and hot, excellent server and lovely people. Only a few selections for each course but they have an option for everyone and accommodated allergies very well, even though it may not be on the menu!! Derek our server was great!!Unique dining in such a sweet space. Would recommend 10/10 and excited to return!

Shared a wonderful New Year's Eve with friends enjoying a wonderful meal and great wine.Vegetarian options: They provided vegetarian options when ordering ahead.Parking: Lot is gravel so when rainy or snowy a bit difficult to walk. Also, parking lot not lit well

This is truly a magical dining experience- everything from the moment you walk through the garden archway into the barn that is glowing with sparkling glassware, fresh flowers and flickering candles, to being greeted and seated among those who will become friends across the evening- to the fabulous courses that unfold at just the right pacing with chef descriptions before each bite - to the savory, salty and sweet adventures that comprise every mouthful. We also had the added pleasure of a delightful server who sensed we were an fun-loving group and in addition to his impeccable service, he entertained us with (at our beckoning) a clever joke with each course. You won't find an experience like this anywhere. Indulge!

Incredible meal, price, atmosphere, and staff! Some of the best beef cheek I've ever had. These chefs really know what they are doing and the family style seating is very fun.

Had a lovely evening. It’s like an intimate dinner party with friends without the fuss. Interesting food prepared in unique and creative ways. The waitstaff was attentive to our needs and the chefs did a great job explaining how the food was prepared. You can tell they put a lot of thought into sourcing and preparing local food and are careful not to waste anything. We’ve already purchased tickets for our next dinner.

My husband and I got married at the Herb Lyceum a week ago and I HAD to jump on here to leave a review for this true gem. Our wedding was simply magical. Having an outdoor garden wedding at the end of September in New England is risky- but from the moment we booked they told us what the rain plan was. Sure enough, it rained the whole day of the wedding... and it was 50 degrees. They set up two beautiful large tents with twinkle lights for the ceremony, enclosed the outdoor dance floor which doubled as cocktail hour, and pulled strings to get patio heaters for the whole space. I don't even think our guests noticed the rain. The one time it rained the hardest was during dinner- and everyone thought it was extremely romantic to hear the pitter patter of rain on the greenhouse roof while enjoying a lovely candle lit DELICIOUS dinner surrounded by twinkle lights from above. We worked closely with Ryan and Ariel- who are both so patient and caring. They truly want your wedding dream to come to life and will do almost anything they can to make the space, the food, and the atmosphere tailored to your specific vision. During the evening our guests drank more alcohol than we had planned, and Ariel checked in with us several times to addend the bar plan. They were flexible and allowed us to make decisions on the spot. The day-of staff were also incredible. Even my extended family was commenting on how their whole staff continued to check in on them throughout the evening.Last and certainly not least, THE FOOD. The food we ate at our tasting was the best meal we have ever had- no exageration. When it came to our food the day-of, at least 30 guests came up to us after dinner and the consensus was "this is the best wedding food I have ever had". We've also been to their smaller weekend dinners and if you aren't getting married here, you at least have to attend a dinner. Foodie paradise. So so SO GOOD and so creative. These people love creating and they love food.We would get married at the Herb Lyceum 100,000,000 more times. Our wedding was unique, intimate, romantic, and so special to us. We'll always look back on our wedding day as absolutely perfect.

I tried to order tickets for Oct. 15th spooky event. I accidentally ordered just the drink pairing to go along with the dinner. I bought the tickets Oct. 2 nd for my spouses birthday dinner on Oct. 15. In two weeks they never tried to contact me to let me know I only ordered the drink tickets. I showed up on the day of the event. I was told I was emailed but then also told they just noticed themselves the day of. So I was never emailed. The spooky event is no longer going on. I was turned away with no accommodation. They did refund my drink tickets but I was very excited and planned this ahead of time and they lied about emailing me. Was very disappointed as this was my partners birthday present that he was really excited for. I felt this could have been handled better or they could have found a place for us there. It was only the two of us. Very disappointing but the farm was very beautiful.
