550 Tavern is absolutely amazing! From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel so welcomed and taken care of — everyone is genuinely friendly and attentive. The food is always delicious and consistently comes out hot and in a timely manner, which makes the experience even better. The atmosphere is fun, lively, and comfortable, making it the perfect spot whether you’re grabbing a casual bite or staying awhile. This place truly feels like a second home, and I can’t recommend it enough!

550 Tavern is the BEST!! They have AMAZING specials that the cook Lisa puts together. My favorite part of the week is checking to see the specials at 550. The staff is wonderful. The vibes are great. And they have an awesome social media team. I love their tiktoks! Go 550!!! Go super bowl!! Love this place!!!

First time there. My wife and I sat at the bar and both had baked haddock with baked potato and veg. The haddock was over cooked and dry to the point that the bread crumb topping was burnt and the baked potatoes were smaller than my big toe ??? The bar was full but not crowded yet the bartenders were inattentive and we had to basically flag them down to get another beer/ wine. We will not be visiting the 550 Tavern in the future as there is other restaurants in the area that are so much better.

The Staff is great but the food is horrible mashed potatoes is very dry ask for prime rib med cooked it comes out like rubber but the bar pizza is great !

My daughter and I just got back from having lunch here and let me tell you it was one of the best meals we had in a long time! What we had was nothing fancy but we were both hungry for sandwiches. She had the Pulled Pork with tater tots and I had the Pastrami Melt with tots. The food was absolutely delicious and more than we could eat. Our server Sophie was sweet and attentive and the prices were reasonable. I am a resident of Halifax and I feel lucky that for a town of 7800 people, we have a restaurant of this quality. The other places nearby are also very good but this one tops the list and we will be back!

Great service. Start to Finish. The appetizer steak n cheese rolls were very good. The chicken supreme and pork chops were very moist and very flavorful. The prime rib was Awesome. The duet musicians sounded great. A very fun night out. Thank you. 😊

Went to the restaurant today try to get lunch there but was 20 minutes too early so we got there about 11:40 and try to order lunch and was told that was a problem. Strange they wouldn't take my order. To be fair they would take our order, but would have to hold it until 12:00 and then could start it..... edit review thank you Mr/Miss owner for getting back to me and responding I moved your services up to a five-star Because you responded to me I wish I could have ate there

550 Tavern is a great place for food & drinks! Their patio has an amazing view of the lake - I highly recommend sitting out there when the weather is nice. The drinks are fantastic - I really appreciated their great list of mocktails! The pickle fries are a solid appetizer (gotta try 'em if you love pickles) & the wings are huge. 1/2 price wings when you dine-in on a Sunday is a deal that can't be beat! The Pecan & Apple salad is so yummy. There is something for everyone here!
