Extremely professional, helpful, and detail oriented caterer with very delicious food. They were able to do our wedding with tricky dietary restrictions (excellent with gluten free and dairy free meals, and also offered a great vegetarian option!). I was able to eat everything at our wedding and it was a huge relief feeling like a normal person for a day! We did some passed apps that were wonderful, a raw bar, and full plated service. They did an incredible job working around the quirks of the venue (the elevator broke the weekend of) and they even helped us source rentals for chairs, soft seating, linens, etc. I would highly recommend Lavishly Dunn and would work with them again in a heart beat!!

Lavishly Dunn catered our daughter's graduation and 18th bday event at our home June 2023 and I don't believe my review was posted. It may be late but certainly worth posting now as I reach out to Lavishly Dunn again for another event. Here's my comments from last year:Wow…and that’s an understatement. I don’t know where to begin...from all of Cayla's help and support through the planning process to Lisa and Chef Mike executing a flawless party. The day was amazing and the food was spectacular! The crew was so attentive to all of our guests and met every need. This was our first experience with an in home catering company and the Lavishly Dunn team absolutely crushed it. Our guests loved all of the apps (presentation was fantastic), the main course and they loved the ice cream bar too. Thanks to all of you for making our daughter’s 18th birthday and graduation an amazing event and one we’ll be talking about for quite some time! We’ll be sure to reach out for future catering needs.

Hosted a networking event on St Patrick's Day and these guys nailed it. Traditional Irish dinner and also breakfast for two days. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. Ordering was easy and they were very willing to work with me to add and remove some specialty items. My only wish is that I had another event to organize soon so I could use them again. We hired Lavishly Dunn to cater our wedding in a unique venue in Boston. We chose them because their food quality and menu options were excellent and their pricing was the best that we could find of that caliber. Unfortunately, I will never recommend them to others planning a wedding as their customer service is very poor. There were several different meetings in which the owner came ill-prepared and disorganized, which led to an incredible amount of stress for my wife and I. From the beginning there was misrepresentation in pricing and menu choices and lack of attention to detail which led to us having to micromanage the process. While the staff onsite was gracious and the food was delicious, dinner was served late and once the buffet was plated, there was no coordination or communication with our guests who needed to move through the buffet line promptly. Ultimately, we never received a thank you or congratulations after the event, nor was there communication or presence from the owner on the day of the wedding as we had discussed. So much so, that our venue coordinator actually removed Lavishly Dunn from their preferred vendor list.The food was very good, but the chaotic way the business is run outweighed the positives.

Simply Dunn catering is the best the South Shore has to offer! It’s a family run business with the nicest staff ever. I have had two events catered by them where they came to our home. The first was a 50th birthday party with nearly 100 guests in our yard. The second was a Friendsgiving last week for 50 people. We had the most amazing Chef, bartender, and event coordinator both times. The food was outstanding, but the professionalism and ability to problem small last minute items will keep us returning time and time again. For the birthday party we had a lot of fresh seafood which they displayed beautifully. The Friendsgiving we did gourmet flat breads and Chinese food. The guests were raving about the food. Today I picked up our second catered Thanksgiving meal for 12. It takes all the stress out of the day and I can enjoy my family. Garlic mashed is always a fan favourite and their cranberries. You cannot go wrong with Simply Dunn! Special shout out to Jonathan Dunn who has hired cream of the crop staff. Also, grateful for Jane who has helped me pull off two events without any bumps. And to Chef Hugo who crushed Friendsgiving 2023. Yeah Simply Dunn!!

Love the service, food and professionalism of Lavishly Dunn. All events I have had them cater have been fantastic. Would highly recommend them to cater any event you are planning for a large or small group.

We just had our wedding yesterday. They delivered to our home, our wedding "venue."The food was complimented by my guests more times than I can count. Lavishly Dunn was so accommodating to all of our guests' dietary needs/restrictions. Easy to work with. Lovely people.

Our little bridal shower at the Scituate Marine Center was perfect! Desiree and her crew were amazing! The food was great and the service was fantastic. They thought of everything … and just as I’d wonder about something else … they’d take care of that too! Above and beyond my expectations. Thanks for making our day wonderful!

Our main focus for our wedding was DELICIOUS food, and Lavishly Dunn completely delivered. Every guest commented on how delicious everything was, and how it wasn't the typical wedding fare, but true restaurant quality cuisine. There were a few logistical issues, but the owner Jonathan completely stepped up on the day of the wedding, and even bartended when he was short-staffed. Definitely recommend!

Jonathan and the Lavishly Dunn Team are the best in the business. We had about 190 guests for our Vineyard wedding and Lavishly Dunn delivered. They had to travel, bring all of the food and equipment over on a ferry in the middle of a storm. Despite so many obstacles they made it happen and the bride and I did not have to worry about any of it.If you are looking for a reliable caterer for your wedding, please look no further. Not to mention they are affordable, and you don’t get the impression that you are being overcharged. All of our wedding guests raved about how great the food was and they all wanted more. We are all aware that wedding catering not always the best, Lavishly Dunn is the exception. Our options were the Steak, Salmon, Chicken and for vegatarians we had the Butternut Squash Ravioli, and everyone was please with there meals. The hors d’oeuvre’s were also phenomenal. Everything about there service was just so seamless and perfect, I could not have asked for a better wedding caterer. We will be back for our 10 year! Lavishly Dunn provided the catering at our wedding this past weekend and went above and beyond our expectations. Though it was in our backyard, Lavishly Dunn helped elevate the event to an elegant affair. Their timing, professionalism, and skill were all on point. Jane led the crew and was outgoing, friendly, and a calming presence. They worked gracefully around us and met all of our guests' needs. The food was outstanding and I heard numerous guests comment that it was the best wedding food they had ever had. We would definitely recommend Lavishly Dunn for your event/catering needs!

Lavishly Dunn catered a baby shower for us recently, and we were so thrilled with how everything came together. We had an omelet station with sides. The food was delicious, and we received so many complements... someone called it the best omelet they had ever had. Scott and Lee were so nice, helpful, prepared and professional.
