Saw the olde hitching post on TV about ten years ago, wanted to give them a try... I was very pleasantly surprised. The food was AMAZING, the service was just as good, the waitress was polite, funny, and attentive. The only thing I would change, would be the location, I wish it was closer to my house lol, unfortunately I live in southern Connecticut and don't get up to Massachusetts very often, but the olde hitching post is now a guaranteed stop every time I get up to mass...

Great food and service - enjoyed caesar salad and pasta dish with penne and chicken. Great live entertainment.
A quiet and relaxing pub. the food was so good. I got wings and my husband got chicken salad on a croissant. Definitely going to become a regular spot for us.

Hmmmm....After reading these reviews, we must have hit it on a really "off" evening....or we were on another planet. ? Service was average, the food was very disappointing and the atmosphere was nothing to write home about.

We dined here on October 21st as part of a group of about 22. The service and the food were top notch. Everyone had a huge variety of dinners and desserts and not one complaint from anyone. We were very impressed and will definitely be back. We had the Mediterranean Salmon and the whole belly fried clams. The tiramisu we shared was yummy!
The food was excellent and we had great service. The honey butter was delicious on the fresh rolls too. This place never disappoints.
