Really good! It only seats about 20 people, so they can charge an upscale price for the limited number of people. It's done well, and food is really good. Prices reflect the sense of "upper echelon" that the restaurant aims to convey. Our dinner for 2 was approx $190 w tip. Included was drinks and 4 items of food. Was just a little under 160 sans tip. Also a little surprised he doesn't use local fish, especially the tuna. He gets it from Japan. It's odd to me, since much of the tuna over in Japan is from here, why he'd buy it from there. Seems like it's be even better if he got it locally. But that's just my opinion. anyhow, it's worth a stop if you want great sushi and don't have a chance to go to Inaho in yarmouth. My opinion is maybe this is 2nd best sushi place on cape. I have heard Misaki in hyannis is also wonderful, but I have not tried it yet. So not sure how this matches up with that.Anyhow, Michael will treat you to a good, delicious meal if you go here!

The images I’ve added belies my review. Though the food was presented well and tasted decent, I am giving it 3 stars because the quality did not justify the cost. My baseline is potentially higher than most as I’ve tasted sushi from NYC to Hawaii.Service was very good as our waitress was very friendly and l attentive. The decor was dark Japanese modern with a fun twist. For the price, I had expected a lot more. I’m sad to say that in the end, I felt that it was just nicely presented run of the mill sushi.

Ten Yen was a wonderful surprise!I don’t expect to find that quality of restaurant on the cape. Not to offend the cape restaurant industry, but I always took it as more casual dining with great guilty of fresh local seafood and produce.Ten Yen is on a different level! All I can say, wow oh wow!My mouth is still watering thinking about out last night’s dinner.I haven’t been to Japan, but I’ve had great sushi in LA and Seattle. Chef Michael’s creations were of the same caliber!

Absolutely lovely dining experience. Cozy restaurant with amazing food and drinks. The menu has some unique takes on familiar favorites, I would recommend the squash blossom crab rangoons, tuna nuta, and tails in the air.

We loved this restaurant. The food was spectacular on all counts, taste, artistry and service. We started with the scallop chowder on special. The texture was like silk and the flavor perfect. Scallops tend to lose flavor in chowder, but they came through strong and sweet. The bacon garnish was extra crispy and the perfect touch. Next we had the hot honey Brussel sprouts lettuce cups. Unique, delicious, beautiful and bountiful. I think a vegetarian would be thrilled to have such an offering. Next we had Kokeshi, little rice balls wrapped in a shrimp with a scallop on top, absolutely delicious and beautiful. Next we had the pork and cabbage dumplings. These were delicately crispy and had a layer of minced citrus "scallion salad" on top. Beautiful and also absolutely delicious. Then we had squash blossoms crab Rangoon. OMG. Delicate and delicious. The crab came through perfectly and the blossoms were crispy, again perfect. We also had the Tidal Wave, Double Dragon and Blacksmith. I know I'm being redundant, but they we delicious, beautiful and perfectly prepared. This restaurant is fabulous. The details on everything we tried were intricate and successful. All dishes had their own unique details and flavor. Nothing was an unnecessary filler. The sauces were different for each dish. Often times in Asian restaurants dishes can blur together because of being doused with Unagi sauce. Each of these dishes stood out. What a special evening we had. Our server, Kelly, was delightful, efficient and informed. The only criticism is the cocktail choices. They have wine and good beer, but the cocktail choices are on draft an we did not find our choice satisfying. The Sake was delicious. This place is tiny so to ve sure to book ahead. We loved it!

Exceptional sushi not just for Cape Cod, but for anywhere. Omakase is at the highest level and the chef has stories and reasoning behind every choice.

food was outstanding and with great service. sitting at the counter was great. i can't wait to go back. It takes a while to get a reservation since the restaurant is small with 8 settings at the counter and 4/5 tables which can each seat 4 ppl.

Really good food and excellent service! It is tough to get reservations and that is easy to see why! Limited seating so orders come out quickly. They plan on being open longer this year. That will be nice! Highly recommend.

This is one of the gems on the Cape as far as food goes. A lot of people talk about food but don't really understand food. This is a must have experience.

Oh my god. This was hands down the most unbelievable, unexpected and best sushi we ever had. Ten Yen is off the charts amazing. So long story short. My wife wanted sushi. We found this place. We showed up. Small restaurants no seats available. We decided to wait to see if there 7:15 reservation was going to be a no show and bam, 2 seats came available at the sushi bar.Ok so the menu is small, but the food and presentation are huge. We started with the shrimp and garlic shumai and crispy sticky chicken. The shumai were Light, fresh flavorful like bites of heaven. They were so good we ordered a second order. The crispy sticky chicken were so flavorful and perfectly cook little pieces of pure delight. Amazing presentation to add to it.So then we heard the owner tell someone the specials, one of which was a scallop chowder. We decided to order a bowl. So far, just like everything else, it was the best chowder we have eaten. Loaded with scallops in a silky cream broth. We were just wowed!!!!Then we ordered the double dragon maki and Tidal wave roll. Both were beyond fresh. The sushi was ice cold, the vegetables were crisp and the rice they make tasted like nothing I have had before. The best sushi rice I have tasted. To finish it if we had a piece of Maguro and Chutoro nigiri. I know I keep saying this, but the freshest and best tasting sushi we have ever had. The owner who I believe his name was Mike, took the place one notch high with his knowledge and skills. For such a small place the atmosphere and ambiance was high because of his personality and skills.100% coming back to Cape Cod (Orleans) just so we can come here again. Sorry there are not more pictures. We were so amazed at the food and watching the owner prepare it, I forgot to take more pictures. We then ordered the

We came for dinner and was surprised by the quality of sushi. We are from New York City and I would say that the taste of Ten Yen can beat most of pricey sushi restaurant in NYC. Will definitely come again in the future.
