Food - yummy. Service - good. What I don’t get is, the short rib risotto is listed on the menu as $34. Not $39, but $34. What the heck is this? Sorry, but that’s just not right.

We go to this place many times when we come to Harwich Port. It is the kids' (3, 5, 8, 9) favorite place. We have eaten inside and out and we prefer outside since kids can play in the gravel. The service is inconsistent; we have had great, attentive service and service where we have to call over our server to put in our order (when they are not that busy and standing). However, this does not deter us from returning, and I wouldn't call the service poor; It's generally good. The servers are kind, the food is consistently good. One night, the food was out promptly, while the second night, we waited over 30 mins for meals after the appetizers, which was a bit long for kids to wait. It's kid friendly and we love the scallop roll and calamari.

We are visiting Boston from Chicago and were in Harwich for the Cape Cod baseball game. We ate a late lunch here and everyone loved their meals. The calamari was amazing and we ended up ordering a second. The serving sizes were generous. Maybe it was just our tastebuds, but everything benefitted from a little extra salt. Overall, a great place with a nice casual outdoor area if you have a large group or kids.

Such a gem! Mad Minnow was our favorite dinner of the week and already can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in the area. I appreciated that the menu features both classics and more inventive dishes, and the beautiful plating/ presentation made everything feel elevated. Our server Maddy was great. Our entrees (the Mad Tuna and risotto) and crab cake tots were especially delicious!

Super overpriced for frozen fried food. Sister restaurants with 3 monkeys. So one of them is fine for a quick bite, but don’t expect anything special. Again super overpriced. That was definitely not. $32 plate of scallops or $28 plate of bolognese, food is served in paper plates, tables are sticky. Like it can’t get any worse. Definitely not worth it.

The food was decent. I ordered the Mad Tuna. The mushy fried rice ball wasn’t really to my taste, but the tuna itself and the sauces were quite good. My main issue is with the pricing. The menu listed lower prices, but when the check came, every item was slightly more expensive. It wasn’t a marginal difference, but it felt deceptive, and I really dislike that kind of dishonesty.

Being totally honest it wasn’t all that. We went here based off of a recommendation from a friend, and all I can say is what a disappointment. $80 later for two people we were less happy than if we went somewhere as common as McDonald’s which is a crazy thing to say as someone who prefers eating from a local restaurant over a chain none the less a fast food chain. We got three things a salad which taste like plain lettuce, a chicken sandwich which looked like it could have been from a school lunch with fires that were tasteless and stale (my bad for not liking seafood but wanting to compromise with a friend), and lastly a lobster roll which had little to no lobster, the roll was soggy and there was a sprinkle of hot shredded lettuce on the bottom. In addition, there was a quarter-sized piece of cartilage hidden. Overall the service was great, the food was just horrible.

Mad Minnow is an absolute gem in the heart of Harwich Port! This wonderful, kid-friendly spot has truly found its place as a staple in the community, thanks to the creativity and dedication of its current owners. The food is consistently delicious, with flavorful, well-crafted dishes that keep you coming back for more. The drinks are just as impressive—whether you’re in the mood for a refreshing craft cocktail, classic drink, or beer, they’ve got you covered.

The service is fantastic! The staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making every visit a great experience. With both indoor and outdoor seating options, you can soak in the charming atmosphere no matter where you sit. There’s just something about Mad Minnow that makes you want to linger a little longer. If you’re in Harwich Port, do yourself a favor and stop by—you won’t be disappointed!

Mad Minnow is an absolute gem. Awesome menu and great beer selection. Service was top notch, shout out Brenna! Lobster mac and cheese was phenomenal. Will definitely be back!

Mad Minnow is tucked away just behind a couple of shops and our family of 4 was able to get in for lunch without a wait. The food was tasty and the service was very attentive. The cocktails were very creative and unusual - you could tell the bartenders take pride in creating the drinks that they serve. Parking was a big challenge though, which is more of a town issue and not specific to the restaurant. We enjoyed our meal would come back!
