Mooncusser's was the perfect venue for our rehearsal dinner and welcome reception. It fit our guests comfortably and provided an incredible atmosphere. The cocktails were fantastic, the food was delicious, and it had that charming Cape energy we were looking for. Highly recommend for any special occasion.

By far the best skirt steak out there

The duck breast was a masterpiece, perfectly cooked with a crisp skin and tender, flavorful meat. Paired with farro, the nutty grain added a delightful texture that complemented the richness of the duck. The green beans were crisp and fresh, offering a lightness that balanced the dish. The real highlight was the blackberries, whose sweet and tart notes brought a refreshing contrast to the savory elements, elevating the entire experience. A beautifully composed plate, offering a mix of textures and flavors that worked harmoniously.
The pork chop was expertly prepared, juicy and tender with a golden-brown sear that locked in all the flavors. Served alongside fingerling potatoes, the dish was hearty and comforting, with the potatoes offering a nice balance of crispness on the outside and softness within. The asparagus was perfectly cooked—tender yet slightly firm—adding a touch of freshness to the plate. The simplicity of the sides allowed the pork to shine, making this a satisfying and well-rounded dish that delivers on both flavor and presentation.

What a disappointments …The waiter gave us a few minutes to order drinks and when we said we need to look at the wine list he vanished. I had to go inside to fidn him when after fifteen minutes he didnt reappear. He said he was busy with other tables. Wow. The duck was overcooked, the chef should know it's to be prepared on the raw side. The check came with the suggested tip in brackets. 30% was listed. That's a new one for me and I travel eight months a year and eat in restaurants non stop. The outside seating area is full of ambiance so that's the only positive i can give it besides the dessert. The friends who were with me have lived on the Cape for 29 years and said they would never return.
Food and service is always consistently great at Mooncussers. We love to sit in the Library for dinner. Shanna, was the bartender in the library and our server. She was so upbeat and professional. I had the green salad with a side of salmon. It was absolutely delicious. My friend had the surf and turf. He said the filet was excellent. The lobster was not only delicious but so plentiful. Last night's selection also included large grilled shrimp. Another great dinner. Thank you.
Would have given 4.5 stars overall. We only got appetizers and based on that, the lobster rolls were delicious and the truffle fries were just average (lacked seasoning). Charming restaurant though.
We have been here a few times this season and the service seems to be lacking as the season went on. Bread is no longer served automatically; salt and pepper should be on the table so that we don't have to chase the waitress for it; bill came before the table was cleared which is really unacceptable. We couldn't finish our wine without staring at a dirty table with dirty plates even after everyone was finished with their meals. These things may sound small but irritating when you are paying premium prices for your dinner. The prices here have gotten more expensive than some 5 star beautiful restaurants on the cape. If they want to compete with 5 star restaurants they need work.
Very nice dinner. Food was outstanding. Nice outdoor seating area, although service was a bit slow (outdoor servers struggled keeping up with inside and outside tables). Overall, nice night out.
It was a weeknight, so we were seated in the dining area to the right of the door, not the main section (which was closed). This room looked worn and tired. Our server was lovely and attentive. The bread and oil we were served was absolutely delicious, as was the wine. I ordered the salmon with sweet potato puree, roasted fingerling potatoes, and haricot verts. The fish was perfectly cooked, the beans were bland, the puree was a bit stodgy, and the fingerlings (which I love) were disappointedly undercooked. For the price of the meal, I was underwhelmed.
We sat outside on a lovely August evening, the patio was quiet and the flowers surrounding it were beautiful. Our server was kind and attentive even though he was spread pretty thin between tables inside and outside. The ginger lemon drop was a great way to start. We had the tuna tartare as an appetizer with a nice big portion of tuna and it was awesome. For our entrees we ordered the burger and the seafood papardelle, both of which were delicious. Would definitely recommend!

We ate at the Mooncussers Tavern. It was the best food we had our entire vacation! So incredibly fresh so many great options, everything tasted amazing. The service here is the best in Cape Cod. Our server, Jackie was so kind and helpful. She is an amazing human and a quick, efficient, skilled waitress. The atmosphere here is really cozy the property is beautiful.
Food and drinks: A lot of drink options, cocktails are delicious.

We had a very nice dinner here. Food was great and the service was attentive.
Ask for Josh the bartender, he’s outgoing and has a great personality. My wife and I loved him. He recommended the burger, which was at first top 3 I’ve ever had in my life- but now I think it was my all time favorite burger!! Also Josh makes a delicious martini. It was so nice to talk to another local. Food is great, drinks are great, bar is great… might just be our new spot!
