The advertisement of Twenty-eight Atlantic, failed to mention that resort fees applied. The restaurants website showed availability earlier but Open Table showed availability an hour later. The cancellation policy was egregious. The service was very friendly but everything was delayed noticeably. There was confusion on what one could order on the menu - a turnoff after good wait. The food was - ho hum (cold Wagyu steak not well seasoned). That said, service staff were super friendly and took ownership of their roles in an exemplary way. Disappointing is a word that sums up the evening.

One big open dining room, lots of noise carries from the attached bar. I had the chefs tasting menu. The first “starter” courses are well done, perfect bites. The two “main” courses leave a lot to be desired. Halibut with more accoutrement on the plate than fish. “Wagyu” that could be mistaken for a catered beef dish. Staff was knowledgeable, I however did feel rushed into each course. Great to have a fine dining option on the Cape, but this menu missed the mark.

Wow James Hackney has gotten inspired! We have been dining here for many many years. The room and the view have always brought us back. In the early years the food was exceptional but then had dropped off and the menu never changed much. Well this past Thursday the food was amazing! The lobster carbonara did not in anyway resemble the old version and thankfully so it was delicious! My husband had the halibut and said it was delicious I had the duck and it was amazing! Truly a wonderful dinner. My only negative is I did not like the new decor. I prefer the old beautiful decor/ chairs and tall flower arrangements. Service was exceptional!

Over priced and clashing flavors. Everything was incorrectly labeled. Lobster carbonara had no cream cheese sauce and herb crusted halibut was not crusted. the rolls and miso butter was the only thing that was phenomenal. The scallops were salty.

This was our fourth visit and we were disappointed with a few things. The food was excellent as expected with the exception of the desserts. The apple tart?was just odd in texture and flavor. We booked weeks ago through Open Table and mentioned it was a birthday celebration and could we have a window table. The staff remembered the birthday but began seating us in the back of the room with no view and next to the server's station. I asked to be moved and they eventually sat us at a window which was available when we arrived. The service was haphazard with no less than four servers dealing with our party. It took a long time to get the menu and even longer to get the wine list. I would ask that the servers who describe the dishes,wait until all the plates are down before talking. We will definitely return because the food and view are really fine.Maybe off season will be better.
Food and Sevice was excellent. We were not staying at the resort, so we found it difficult to find and didn't know where to park. More signage would be helpful to those coming in just for dinner.

I am usualy skeptical about really expensive fine dining but my neighbor told me 28 Atlantic was worth it for a special occasion. It was spectacular! The view is breathtaking. The staff was warm and welcoming, and efficient. The food! Exquisite and delicious.

Overpriced for food quality. While some appetizers where delicious the main course meals where nothing special. Halibut was very dry, steak was also nothing to get impressed with. For the price charged we expected a higher level of dining experience.
