We had a really bad experience at The Port. My friends and I went there visiting for our college graduation trip and were ID’d at the door before going in. After getting drinks and being there for an hour we were asked by a bouncer to see our IDs again. The bartender insisted they were fake, even when we gave her a second form of ID. She then threatened to call the police on us. She was very rude about the situation and kicked us out of the bar knowing we were all 21.Would not recommend grabbing a drink here especially considering the high prices.

The kale caesar shrimp salad with mint won us over.
Service was amazing.
Kudos to Brooke.

Isn’t hospitality the principle mantra of a good restaurant. 5 people came in during your happy hour menu prepared to spend decent money. One of us is Celiac, ie gluten free not by some precious personal choice but bc of a serious, health-threatening allergy. Your kitchen couldn’t make a single exception or go minimally out of its way to provide something that guest (a child BTW) could safely eat. Cute spot. Extremely boring wine list. Too bad we’ll never find out if the food was good.

Overpriced and nothing special! So many much better restaurants on Cape Cod at less cost.and will not be back. The $1 oysters from 3-5 PM are the only thing to consider.

Better than expected given the recent reviews. We were promptly greeted and given a choice of where to sit. Waitress brought fresh rolls and butter and took our order promptly. Food came out quickly (it was not very busy). We didn’t have silverware at our table and had to ask our server twice, but she was very apologetic about it. Nice atmosphere, the tuna poke nachos were excellent. Prices on their website are inaccurate as of this posting; everything has gone up at least $4.

Low service, high prices. Owner is also rude! I don't recommend this place. Avoid it.

Great space but they ripped of 20+ people the night I went here until someone noticed. Didnt even get food but definitely not worth spending anything here. better spots

Went for some oysters, didn’t end up getting any because the blonde bartender on staff 10/20 at 2pm was the worst I’ve ever had and I do not say that lightly. The entire time we sat there with food and a drink she sat with her back turned to us while texting. Food was good, drinks obviously fine poured from a glass or tap, but offered no help, left us with empty glasses for quite some time while we were waiting for oyster happy hour and we ended up leaving because it was not worth sitting there any longer. Service needs to be addressed. Horrible.

Food was just all right. The cocktails were great! Cute little restaurant - we would return (even with the “Toast” fee tacked onto the bill)

Super sad bc I like this spot, that they would hide behind a fake Point Of Sale charge of 4%, with paying debit card or credit card. No signage upfront and this is illegal in MA...

Just had the most disappointing experience at The Port. Let me say that we had a wonderful experience the first time we came so we brought friends back. Unfortunately the experience was not the same.

It began by being ignored by the hostess who was looking down at the seating chart. Took several minutes before she acknowledged me and said they'd be with me in a minute

They wanted our menus before we had even ordered because they were short menus

Service was extremely slow and the quality of the food was disappointing. The raw bar shrimp are $6 each and very small and tasteless . The manager gave some kind of lame excuse about the type of shrimp they sell and larger shrimp are pumped up with hormones. I might believe her except they did not taste like the quality product she claimed they sold.

The hot lobster roll came out cold, completely dry (no butter) and with the wrong fries (standard fries and not the truffle fries described in the menu) when we received the correct fries they were tasteless, oversalted, and lacking truffle flavor.
We sent it all back

When we complained to the manager she said she would remove the lobster roll from the bill ( as if she was doing us a favor). I reminded her that she was removing the charge because we sent it back and did not consume it!

The final straw occurred when we received the bill which included a "large party fee" of 20% ( we were a party of 4) and a Toast fee (which is a pass through from using a credit card). Toast is a popular POS system that most restaurants use and this is the first time I've been charged for it. There is also no mention of it on the menu.
When my husband spoke the manager again she basically implied that this is a busy restaurant in a tourist area and our business was not important to her.
I feel bad for the waitress who was doing her best. The one star for service reflects the attitude of management and her lack of customer service skills.
And finally one of our party remarked that he'd seen cleaner bathrooms in gas stations. Another member of our party got an eyeful of a male patron using the men's room. Apparently closing the door isn't a thing? Classy establishment
We were there for two hours.
I advise you to avoid the Port.

Our waiter Nick was really great. The best part of our experience. The food was not good. Undercooked filet, lacking flavor. A very thin swordfish steak with a very strange tasting thick, greasy sauce accompanied by very undercooked asparagus and a single whole carrot. It’s also tomato season! We ordered the caprese tomato mozzarella basil salad, which consisted of halved store bought grape tomatoes and no fresh basil pesto. Great, friendly service but the food was very disappointing. We will not be back.
