The food was terrible. The rice was old & hard. The chicken fingers had no taste whatsoever, 6 very small boneless spare ribs burnt and the crab lagoons had little to no filling. I won't be returning.

90+% Of Chinese restaurants in Eastern MA have the same menu, differing only in number of different dishes offered but sometimes with a few different twists. So I rate those that do have the same menu primarily on preparation, service and cost. The Gourmet House has a few twists that are nice. For example, my son ordered his standard orange chicken and liked the ‘3 course meal’ provided: chicken, rice and choice of appetizer (he took the BBQ ribs). Well prepared. Our orders of standard appetizers: Peking Ravioli, Crab Rangoon, Pork Goyza and a Pupu Platter were standard, but all were well prepared and enjoyable (Crab Rangoon a little too sweet). This was a take-out and the order was ready on time. Worth the price. All-in-all, enjoyable.

The food was awful. The sweet and sour sauce was bitter. The chicken teriyaki and beef teriyaki on the stick was so over cooked we couldn’t eat it. Such a bid disappointment for our Christmas dinner. I live right down the street and I will never go back. Should have went to china blossom. I rate this place a 0.

Best boneless spare ribs! Not dry and bland like other places! All our food was delicious.

The quality of the food has really gone downwards since they opened. We got several orders of burnt chicken teriyaki, and the fried rice has a very weird taste, almost muddy in flavor. I'm very disappointed.

Everything is too sweet. And sauces and gravy’s are watery . One side was chix wings got 1 . ? The shrimp in the lobster sauce were very small and tasteless. Pork fried Rice was just ok. Crab Rangoon so sweet couldn’t eat it.

I got delivery. While everything was hot and fresh the level if salt (or soy or msg) was so high it was all I could taste! Lovely fresh, exotic veggies and all I could taste was salt. Please, Gourmet House, we can add our own!

I got some last night. normally when i get it the food is about a 6.5/10. Last night was disgusting. I threw up and it didnt even taste right

My family and I only get takeout, not sure how the atmosphere is. The food is the best we’ve ever had. The selection with no onions is perfect

Very disappointed with the basic pork fried rice. Very dry and bland. The rest of it wasn’t very good either. I will not be order from them again. ?????

So I have ordered from Asian Gourmet twice both times was delivery. Both times I received my diner plates with 1 peice of teriyaki and 4 small peices of boneless spare ribs. I was a little thrown off at the portions so I called and they said it is because they serve smaller portions in their dinner plates, which doesn’t make too much sense because usually lunch plates are smaller portions. But either way we tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but it didn’t work out so we will no longer order from them.
