We found Hummingbird Nutritious Eats because I have to follow a strict vegan and gluten free diet. The food here is AMAZING, everything I have tried has been delicious especially the desserts. Even my husband who has never liked health food loves it! The staff is also what keeps us coming, you can tell they put a lot of thought and effort into all they do. I highly recommend.

After having their food catered at a party I attended I came in to try more in person and everything I’ve eaten from here has been amazing! Very flavorful and fresh. The inside is really beautiful and everyone was very friendly as well!

Their food is amazing!! Fresh, delicious & nutritious!! They have some freshly prepared foods in their refrigeratored section you can take home to continue enjoying their exceptional foods. Their homemade bread is heavenly. The atmosphere is friendly & welcoming. I can't wait to go back! They don't use latex gloves and they now have online ordering ahead!! *New update: they have agreements with food delivery services- so you don't even have to leave your home!!! I've tried so many of the foods they offer and haven't been disappointed, just blown away by the amazing dishes!! They have many gluten free options available, as well!! I go at least once/week!!!Vegetarian options: Fresh, all natural, delicious! Seriously, their food is a taste sensation of flavors. They have many Vegen options, as well!!

Vegan food freaks me out usually but I received a gift card so here we are.Grabbed myself a coffee cake whoopie pie, bottled coffee and a few seltzers. Whoopie pie had the best cream I’ve ever had. I’m so upset I only got 1. Bottled coffee tasted freshly brewed. I’m excited to make this place my new work spot. Love the atmosphere, friendly staff.

Great cafe to stop for vegetarian eats! Located in Downtown Haverhill, Hummingbird Nutritious Eats offers a good selection of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free foods including grab & go salads, heat & serve meals & soups, desserts, baked goods, and bottled cold brews. At the counter, they also offer prepared foods such as hot soups, salads, grilled cheeses, pressed sandwiches, frittata, and bowls (noodles, grain, legumes). There is seating by the window to consume your food and drinks. While I was in Haverhill, I stopped by Hummingbird for a hot sandwich to go. I ordered the Cuban ($12.50 plus tax), which was a hot pressed sandwich with celery root, pulled mushrooms, pickles, mustard, & melted gruyere cheese between sourdough bread. I enjoyed my hot and tasty vegetarian sandwich back in the vehicle as I was listening to a radio show. I will have to try out some of their heat & serve meals offered here, including the cauliflower mac & cheese, Essex County mushroom risotto, and green bean & zucchini Thai green curry.
So, I have a shop in town on River Street (Bohemian Cove, check it out when you can), and occasionally I like to order take-out for dinner locallu while I'm open in the evenings. Tonight I wanted to try something other than pizza or sandwiches. I ordered the Mostardo & Gruyere grilled cheese, and it is so delicious! I'm not really a fan of pears or sourdough, but this looked so good, I decided to try it. It really is such a unique flavor and texture. I highly recommend!!!

The food is created by two high profile chefs, so you are getting gourmet food at cafe prices. We got The Cuban sandwich and The KFC both vegetarian and were packed flavor bombs. The soups Carrot and Potato Leak are to die for. We took some pre made meals to go - roasted cauliflower, the curry, and the chili. I am a meat eater, but I'll drive 30 mins for a meal at Hummingbird. A+ everything.
