Peddler’s Daughter is a gem of a restaurant in downtown Haverhill. Authentic Irish Pub food with a friendly, warm atmosphere and the best Fish n’ Chips, homemade tarter sauce and ketchup, and potato-leek soup! Not to be missed on a visit to the Merrimack Valley. (3 blocks from the Commuter Rail Station and Municipal Parking Deck.)
I went here on a date with my partner and got the steak and she got the pork belly. Service was prompt, friendly, and excellent. The pork belly was amazing- crisp textures with all the melty delicious flavors you would expect. However, the steak, while incredibly tender, didn't have enough seasoning and the layered potatoes were almost frozen cold in the center of them (maybe not enough time in the fryer?).
The food is definitely some of the best that Haverhill has to offer. The bartender Robert is a breath of fresh air, and it very knowledgeable of the menu. Plus he can make one hell of a drink. This place has so much unique flavors that will attack your taste buds in so many ways.
