This was always our go-to for diner food. Great atmosphere, friendly service. I’m not sure if they got a new cook, but the last few times we have been, the food wasn’t the same. Home fries that used to be amazing, to now- literally just drowned in paprika. Not good at all! Over medium eggs were over easy, and hash isn’t the same, either. So sad. It went from being our favorite place to now being disappointed in the dishes for the past 3 times now. Also cook prepared something in error, even the waitress said so.) And never had to wait this long for food, either! If you see this- get a better cook!!!

I’ve always loved going to Ozzie’s for breakfast—it’s been a favorite spot of mine. But on October 2, 2025, my wife and I went out for breakfast, and I ordered the “Trainwreck Omelet” with a side of corned beef hash. Unfortunately, just a few hours later, I became violently ill. Based on the timing and symptoms, I suspect food poisoning. I was bedridden for four days and didn’t start feeling like myself again until a full week had passed. Needless to say, I won’t be going back.

I got the steak and eggs. The steak was really tough, even though I asked for it rare which it was more medium than anything else. I also asked the waitress if I could sub toast for a side salad and she said yes then I got my bill and was charged for the side salad. I asked if I could have that removed and they said they would only remove the toast. Then I proceeded to explain that if I would’ve known, I would’ve been charged for the side salad. I wouldn’t have gotten it. They refused to take the side salad off then the waiter asked me why I was arguing with him then I said I wasn’t arguing. I just want you to explain why I have to pay for your mistake? Clearly he couldn’t answer.

Amazing food,amazing people and the homemade corn beef hash is to die for. It’s a great way to start your day.
My first visit in this place and I was very surprised that we have to wait for the tables on the outside deck. But was worth it. Food was delicious and atmosphere as well. Service was little slow 🐌 but the place was very busy so that could be a reason. We will stop there again for same teasty prime rib skillets.

We were staying close by and found Ozzie's for breakfast and were not disappointed. I'm not sure if there are any other places to eat in Hinsdale but you would not want to miss this spot. I had the eponymous steak and eggs and was very pleased. They happily accommodated a party of 8 and a toddler.
