This is the best Jamaican food around! The food and juices are amazing! The gentleman who runs the place is super friendly and kind and is obviously super passionate about his food. Highly recommended!

I had special order fresh cooked red snapper with rice and peas, escobiche sauced cabbage, carrots, onion and hot pepper w fried plantains.
I know the owners about 1t years since they were on Blue Hill Ave Mattapan/ Dorchester line before that location shut down and they were on Roslindale some years with tough parking but good seating. Now at their newest home in Holbrook, minimal off street parking, still catering, with minimal seating indoors to seasonal outdoors picnic tables.
Good people, great food
Vegetarian options: Chickpea curry is a nice variation or vegetable lo mein
Dietary restrictions: I only eat wild caught fish, which snapper is. I always ask what can be made, and can it be free of other meats or sauces
Parking: Minimal off street parking spots

This is my new go to place and it's close to my house. The food is fresh and the service is great! My go to is the oxtail plate! Never seen oxtail so big and well cooked and seasoned. The one negative is that I need to pace myself...lol if I could eat oxtail everyday, I would!
Great place, great service and great food!
Parking: There is a small space behind the restaurant to park when picking up food. Very convenient.
Great food and great customer service

I recently moved to the Boston area from NYC and they have some of the best oxtails I have had in years!!! 10/10 highly recommend! So tender and flavorful! We had their food a the Caribbean food and rum festival yesterday and it was so good, we had to get some more oxtail for the road!

The woman serving food had a rude attitude at a recent event where they were vendors. Asked her a simple question and did not notice a customer on the other side. Instead of kindly saying “I’ll be right with you!” she flared her nostrils and scolded us “Excuse me! I’m with a customer.” Asked her another question and she shooed us off the go look at the menu. I was surprised because we always buy from them and they’re always pretty nice. The men there were pleasant but she was beyond rude to paying customers. I guess that’s what we get for trying to support a black owned business. Attitude with a side of disrespect.

You know how some people want to be that person to find the cool hole-in-the-wall with the really great food? That only locals know about? Well, share this place with your friends and you can be that person! All the food was amazing! If you don’t know where to start with the menu, I got the curry chicken, my roommate got jerked oxtail. Both plates were fantastic. Great customer service and fantastic food, you won’t be disappointed.

Unfortunately they weren’t even open when they advertised they were. I showed up at 1pm on a Saturday, lights were off. Called and no one picked up.
Call before you go so you don’t even waste gas!
I only ordered beef patties and ginger beer/pineapple juice but I have to say everything was perfect and great homemade flavor! Highly recommend and will be back very soon!

One of the top 2 spotsI’ve had for Oxtail, along with Murl’s kitchen. The owner is extremely nice and welcoming. Gravy is rich with a perfect bit of spice, the veg is flavorful, and plantains nice and sweet, but the absolute best part is the extremely meaty oxtails. I’ve never had so much meat on every single oxtail. I got a large portion with 2 beef patties which was a little expensive, especially coming from the Bronx where you can get a large for $20, but I totally understand why and gladly pay because it’s worth it and the service was awesome. Definitely stopping by anytime I go to the South Shore.

The lady behind the counter and greeted me which I find important when you go into any establishment. I got the oxtail plate which was tender and big pieces I’m use to to small cut. The flavor did not disappoint. The cabbage the best I had in a while I love the kick and crunch to it. To my surprise I ate ALL the rice and normally I don’t. I got my husband the carrot mango juice and he loved it
Shanette was very welcoming and super kind! So happy I stopped in.The restaurant is very clean and super fast service. So glad to have a Jamaican spot in the area that is open as their hours say! Thank you Shanette.
