Beware of this company, it's a scam. The sales rep lied to our faces about what we would have to pay. The food is low quality and the home products are a joke. We received a defective mattress that saggs in the middle and got nothing but the run around for many months. The prices are outrageous.
I am writing this review in hopes that it will save someone in the future a terrible mistake I made by entrusting in the word of a sales report for Hill Home Market on January of 2022. It was in the middle of COVID that I saw a friend post a picture of a freezer filled to the top with groceries who was complementing the service and quality of the product. Upon seeing a couple of posts, I decided to call and set up an appointment. The man came to my house ran through the detail, asked questions about our grocery shopping and food consumption. Myself and my spouse sat for about 2 ½ hours with this gentleman. At the end of his presentation, he offered us a monthly price of the groceries, but explained in order to get the best price, I would need to be “supplied” a freezer through them for storage. Not once did he use the word “purchase” and that the monthly cost was with the inclusion of us being “supplied” the freezer. My husband asked what happens to the freezer if we decide not to stay with your service? At that time, we were answered with “you would keep it, as long as you stay for one year”. In both our minds, if we are paying on a freezer for a year, that would make sense we keep it because how much could a freezer really cost? A couple of grand at max? He then goes into that we qualify for one of their additional services, a air purifying system. I said, I don’t need that as I actually already have one. HE explains, that it would be at no additional cost. I mean it is free, why not right? Sure, that is fine. I sign the papers (silly me) and we begin receiving the food. We stay with them all year, in October my freezer stops working and thousands of dollars’ worth of meat defrost. I call and the man very unprofessionally and accusatory handles the situation and tells me they can get my food replaced under the warranty but I need to supply them with a list of all the product. Great, I send the email as asked. Three weeks later, I receive the replacement after multiple calls, very rudely spoken to. I explained, due to this level of service, upon the 1 year term, I would not be continuing service. Comes January 2023, they call for my replacement order and I explained the situation and how I wish to discontinue to the service. Additionally, because I don’t need the freezer they are able to come get it. The man on the phone goes into the fact that I own it now based on the continued payments I will need to make on it. I was in shock and asked to speak to leadership. He said I would have to call back during business hours as it was a Friday evening. Fine, I call Monday, Tuesday and finally get a call back. I explained my situation and the man starts laughing, laughing so loudly and abruptly that I couldn’t even get a word in. Come to find out, with the air purifier and the freezer, I will be paying a remainder balance of 5K! In total for the both, it was 6200, which is a 48-month term. He explained it was on my receipt (which was hand written number, illegible) and on a 2nd receipt (which I have no copy of) that he emailed me the number 48 is circled. Moral of the story is unless you want to pay 4-5K for a freezer DO NOT DO business with them. This is not to mention that things that were on backorder, that I paid for were never delivered and never received a credit.
