After reading such great reviews we were pretty disappointed last evening. They have recently changed their menu from all the wonderful meals pictured online to now pretty much standard bar food. It took 15 minutes to get our first round of drinks and there were only 6 to 8 other people in the entire restaurant. Our server was very good and very attentive and graciously apologized for no longer offering any of the meals we came in for. Time to change the online menu folks, because right now it looks like a bait and switch. It's pretty difficult to leave and go somewhere else when you've already ordered drinks.

This place seems underrated. Location is trendy and everything was great! I really loved the fried goat cheese salad! Also tried crab cakes, fish and chips, and fried chicken sandwich. Would definitely go back!

Food was amazing good. Ordered the fig pizza, claim chowder and, the chicken pot pie soup. All so good! Friendly owners and wait staff. I'm definitely heading back here next time I'm in Hull.

We had passed this place a few times and its outside hides its true beauty: the food and the service. Stopped here for dinner on a Saturday night. There was a very happy crowd at the bar but plenty of tables. Our server, Moira, was amazingly friendly and attentive. The nachos were delicious. They came with a garlic aioli, a first for us, and it’s now something I want on every plate of nachos I have. The jalapeños on the nachos were pickled and next time we will ask for extra. I had the JFC sandwich (huge, delicious) and my sister had the super veggie wrap (also lots of food and very good). The fries were perfect - golden and crispy. Will definitely eat here again when I’m in the area.

You would be a fool to let this restaurants outside appearance deter you from going in. I cannot decide between the food and the bar staff as to what was more enjoyable but overall they both bring this establishment above 5 stars. We enjoyed the fried pickles, fried feta, JFC, and prosciutto fig pizza. All of them were amazing and to pick a favorite would be a disservice. The drinks were just as great. Such a great experience for my wife and I, we will be back. I never got our bartenders names today but both of them were phenomenal. Thank you!

Spent the weekend in Hull on Nantasket Beach, tried a lot of different restaurants but the Sandbar was by far my favorite one! The food and drinks were amazing 10/10. The service was also amazing our waitress Moira was super helpful and very kind Definitely will be back!
