The food was excellent! Some of my favorite Mexican food I've had in a long time. Staff was helpful with dietary restrictions, and we enjoyed the patio seating.

My family and I travel to the Cape every summer, and all the cousins decided to have a nice night out together. We arrive and added our rather large group to the wait list, the hostess was not rude about our ill-prepared timing. She gave an accurate wait time and we just meandered along Main St. until we were notified that our table was ready.
We were seated in the main dining area with plenty of space for our party. Victoria, our server, then greeted us with a welcoming smile and took our drink orders. Victoria truly shined in her knowledge of the menu and grace by informing us what menu items were safe and unsafe based off the variety of dietary restrictions (gluten free, soy free, and vegan needs). She was kind and understanding to our needs and provided peace of mind in ordering our food; without making us feel like a hassle or bother. She showed us that the menu is actually VERY accommodating to all of our needs, without compromise of options. Her energy showed that truly wanted to help and serve us, rather than having to.
The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, every bite and every sip was such a flavor filled adventure. Service, food, ambience, and price were all top tier. My family and I were all extremely satisfied with choosing Añejo for our special night out. Cannot recommend choosing this establishment for any occasion you may come across.

Loud and a little overpriced but being able to sit under that beautiful tree is an experience not to be missed

Honestly one of my favorite restaurant experiences. Food was genuinely delicious as well as the drinks. The atmosphere was also very unique and was my favorite experience in the cape.

Our food was delicious, our waitress was so sweet and not too overbearing yet very attentive. Not to mention the beautiful backdrop!
My only complaint would be that when I requested to sit at a table instead of on tall stools one of the hostesses scoffed despite me saying “if nothing is available it’s totally ok!” Multiple times.

The carne asada tacos and food were delicious, making this spot a great choice for authentic Mexican cuisine. However, the service from our server, Andrea B. (male, bearded), significantly detracted from our experience.
As a Korean-American dining with my White girlfriend, I noticed uncomfortable behavior from Andrea. When we inquired about tequila drinks, he immediately demanded both our IDs in a defensive tone. While carding is standard, he spent nearly two minutes scrutinizing our valid Illinois IDs, bending and examining them as if convinced they were fake. This felt unnecessarily skeptical and set an awkward tone.
Throughout the meal, Andrea’s service was subpar. He seemed to avoid our table, offering minimal attention compared to other tables in the busy restaurant. As the only East Asian customer present, I couldn’t help but wonder if this treatment was racially motivated. Despite this, I tipped 20% on our bill, understanding the challenges of hospitality work. However, Andrea’s comment, “Wow, that’s a first,” upon seeing the tip left us puzzled and uncomfortable, questioning what he meant.
I hope management addresses this with Andrea to ensure all guests feel welcomed. While the food was excellent, the service left a sour taste during our first visit to Cape Cod. Potential diners, especially minorities, should be aware of this experience.
