The Cape Cod Caribbean Cafe in Hyannis is my go-to spot whenever I’m on the Cape. I manage a few summer rental properties in the area, and two of them are in Hyannis, so I often find myself stopping by this location. I like that they open early and keep the menu simple with a smaller selection of dishes.
I have to agree with some of the other reviews—it’s a bit of a mixed experience here. On the positive side, there is one server I really admire: she appears to be an older woman, short, with dark skin and natural hair. She is always polite, kind, and actually greets you with a smile, which makes a difference.
However, the rest of the staffs could use improvement. The cashiers at checkout often look unhappy, distracted, or on their phones, and they don’t seem very customer-focused. It would also be nice if the owner enforced a uniform or at least head coverings for staff to create a more professional appearance.
When you first walk in, the environment isn’t very welcoming. Sometimes, you see young men just hanging out and sitting on the counter top. For such a great location and concept, I feel like the owner could benefit from paying more attention to visitor feedback and making a few small improvements.
Overall, I keep coming back for the convenience and food, but I’d love to see the service and atmosphere better match the potential of this spot.

Food was very tasty! And staff was friendly, they choose the best food combo.
When you enter to the left side is the homemade style Caribbean food, very spicy

The cashier is very rude. She wants to charge $1 for two small boxes, ridiculous!
Love the food, will definitely recommend to others!

The server was nice, the cashier was just plain no greetings nothing, but that’s not what my review is about. It’s the fact that I bought curried goat and it was so hard all I could do is have the gravy with the rice, this is a waste of money. I chew but couldn’t swallow it was hard very very hard.

The place is nice overall, but that young girl in the restaurant is disgustingly rude. I’m not from that town, I just happen to be passing through and spent a night at the comfort inn and needed some decent breakfast, so if I’m asking you a question and you think that you’re too good to answer or don’t feel the need to because obviously I’m new to the restaurant, then it’s obvious you don’t like you’re job. I’ve worked in customer service for quite a portion of my life so I know how frustrating customers can be, so when I go into a business place I treat them with respect, but that girls dismissive behavior and attitude was very rude and uncalled for.

I ordered oxtail, seasoned rice and potato salad. The oxtail was falling off the bone, it was seasoned very well. Very tasty. I can have their potato salad all day everyday. Impressive portion size. Delivery was early than predicted I highly recommend! You’ve gained a new customer that’s for sure!

Customer service is horrible very rude staff that look at you weird if your not black and make you feel uncomfortable. I went in there for the beef patties that my 8 yr old son likes. But of course miraculously they didn't have any!! I find that odd

The big brown girl with ridiculous eye lash is very rube and full of attitude, I was trying to place an order and it’s like I am begging and not buying . Staff hear needs customer service training. If there was another competition this place would’ve been done with .
Restaurant recommendation - Cape Cod Caribbean Cafe on Center St. in Hyannis, MA - Awesome, plentiful food and for short money!! But you'd better go early or they might run out of food.
