I'm from gloucester MA but live in KY, and my roommate who has told me all about this place; had me all about it. We just ordered for a 12 pack of random picks to ky, and I love all of them. I personally love the stinger above all others. But that does not discredit the other flavors of mead. I LOVE THIS PLACES MEAD! No doubt, no lie, total honesty and I will be purchasing again for shipment, in the near future! Amazing and 5 stars all the way.

Not what we expected size-wise (we were thinking it would be in a bigger building), but great things do come in small packages! It's cute and cozy, making it a great spot for a casual drop-in if you fancy a flight or two 😄
All puns aside, it was a great visit. The owners were on site, ensuring guests were satisfied and helpful with selecting meads that matched what the customer taste preference was. My partner and friends loved the mead flight as it has a broad spectrum from dry to sweet. Sampling was definitely encouraged, especially for people coming in not knowing what mead is. Prices are fair - flight, glasses, bottle. We even found a couple of off-season flavors in their gift shoppe and had a blast trying to pick which bottles to take home.
If you are looking for something different that hits that sweet spot, this is the place you're looking for!

What a fantastic place! We really enjoy the historical charm of the tasting room. The staff is very knowledgeable and shares a variety of details about each type of mead. The meads are absolutely delicious, and there is a wide variety to satisfy all taste buds! We visit often and always enjoy the atmosphere, mead, and the company.

Fantastic artisanship. Don't let the small size of the tasting room fool you. This guys are legit and their meads are delicious. Viking Victory had been my favorite for a while but after todays flight it has moved down to third or fourth place behind Hatchet Hannah, Blueberry Cream and Strhuberry. The Mead Master who I caught working on a new batch also served me and was really helpful and knowledgeable. It's always a treat when I come in.

We stumbled on this place, which was serving flights of mead. I didn’t think I liked mead, but have not changed my mind. We especially liked the honey-only “Wench” and cloves/cinammon flavored “Viking”. We ended up buying a couple of bottles for special occasions. The server was really well-informed, down to earth and helpful. What a fun little place.

I never really enjoyed any alcohol other than sake, but that changed when I came here. Bought a bottle of cyser and I fell in love! Staff are all very kind, and it's only a 15 minute walk from the train station!

Recently visited during a trip to salem for a Halloween. The tasting was a great experience, staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The staff was also accommodating when it came to the fact me and my wife had our son with us. We will definitely visit again and mail order when we cannot.
