Atmosphere awful for a holiday. Dark and dreary. Waitress abrupt. Terrible service. Disappointed with family. Non holiday vibe. Won't go back.
Great spot, always friendly and accommodating. Abagail was our server and did a tremendous job, food was promptly and cooked to perfection.
I will say it was very busy but that is no excuse for the host to be rude and not very helpful. We had to get our own chairs when we had reservations and were sat at a table without the correct number of seats and left us standing there. We ended up finding our own chairs to be able to sit. Waitress was very nice and food is good. I would say train the host better because it doesn't give the customer a good feeling to start off with a rude attitude like we did something wrong when we had reservations.
Fried haddock from Gloucester was very fresh and delicious. Guinness was fresh and well-poured. Winter punch drink was yummy. Bang bang shrimp was tasty, but I was expecting crispy sticky shrimp instead of a creamy sauce. The shrimp were a good size, though. We would go back again! Loved the cozy atmosphere.
We go to the fox creek pretty regularly. The menu is a bit limited so you run out of different things to try if you go frequently. With that said, the food is good and pretty consistent in terms of quality and the prices are reasonable. The service is always good and the server accommodated my request to turn a Caesar salad into a wrap which was not on the menu. The bar is always prompt with drinks. It would be great if the wine list had a few more options on it though. The dining area is always a bit cold for us in the winter so we dress accordingly when we know we're going there. The tables need to be fixed as they are all wobbly and the server had to shim our table up in order for it to be useable. We are happy though, that they do not have the music turned up so loud that you cannot carry on a conversation like other restaurants do.
The service was awesome! From the minute we walked through the door until we left Kim couldn't do enough for us. Good was delicious and was more than enough to eat - got 2 meals in one. Drinks were delicious too. We'll definitely be back.
The food was just ok, my Cesar salad was not as good as any other I've had, it was actually bitter with hardly any dressing. My flatbread pizza was subpar, it was bland and the flatbread was flavorless. With that said my daughter turkey sandwhich and my husbands meal was good. There was a young girl flying around with food that almost ran into us and made it seem like we were the issue. Slow down, relax, it's Valentines Day and I had my daughter with me so sorry!
We love Fox Creek Tavern. Food is excellent. I've been 3 times and have loved it each time. Great value for a very large portion and delicious food. Will definitely be on our list of repeat Friday night date night.
Great spot in Ipswich! Service was excellent and the food was as well!

I don’t know what happened to this place, but it has gone downhill lately. The poor service and lack of attention to detail are glaring. We used to enjoy this restaurant, but over the past couple months there appears to be no quality control whatsoever. The seafood cast iron was always my go to but on my recent visit it was cold when I got it. They brought me a new one that was so salty I couldn’t eat it. I asked to speak with the manager but was told there wasn’t one on site. Seriously? My friend got a burger which was burnt badly and wasn’t made as ordered. The restaurant seems dirty and unsanitary lately. I unfortunately, I think I’ve made my last visit to Fox Creek. Cannot recommend.

Strange experience. We were walked to our table and sat there for 15 minutes: no water, no drinks, no attention at all. Waiters and waitresses walked by but never even came close to our table or made any eye contact. The place was half full. We ended up leaving.

My girlfriend and I stopped in for lunch while on vacation. Jimmy was our server. The food was great (lobster poutine and clam chowder).
Jimmy was excellent. We really enjoyed his candor and him telling us about the area. He’s really an asset to your company, and we greatly appreciated his service.
If we’re ever back in the area, we’ll make sure to stop in for a meal!
