We have eaten here many times and always had a great meal. We dined here on Saturday evening, October 4th with two close friends who had never been to Fox Creek Tavern. They had run out of 2 regular menu items, Braised Short Rib and Ribeye. This was disappointing to say the least.

We had been here before and loved it. The staff was great and the food was fantastic. Today was not one of those days. The host was so unbelievably rude I was speechless. We walked in and I gave my name and he already seemed extremely annoyed. I figured he must just be having a bad day so I shrugged it off. But then since it was a beautiful day we asked to sit outside along with a bunch of other patrons. In response he whipped his head around and rolled his eyes at me. I actually apologized it was so uncomfortable and he said through gritted teeth it wasn't a problem. Like I said I was speechless. So speechless, I actually thought maybe he was the owner and I wanted to reach out on LinkedIn last night to discuss what happened. Our server Chris was very nice and attentive so zero complaints there. The music outside was my favorite and my fish tacos were yummy too but honestly I'm so unnerved by what happened I don't think I will go back.

We ordered the Irish nachos just to try something different, but we wouldn't order it again. Too much potato and not enough of anything else (corned beef). Service was very good

This place was good. Although it wouldn't recommend the turkey BLT. And the home fries are really spicy. I don't like that but other people might.

Pros: loved our waiter (attentive, kind, efficient), nice outdoor seating Cons: low quality food, the kitchen messed up my dinner order (no big deal) but the way the manager reacted and then dealt with it was very rude. He practically rolled his eyes. No apologies, no checking back to make sure everything was ok the second time around. Overall, a wasted $150. Won’t be back.

We were seated in the back room where there was a big party they took over the whole room and were roaming around socializing with each other and it was very uncomfortable for us to be there. I asked to move us to the other room but I was told the table was reserved. There were plenty of tables and they were empty when we left. There was no attempt to fix the situation and although the food was good we won't be going back

My friend and I ate here after golfing in Essex and it was awesome. The atmosphere was great and the food was even better. The interior was spacious and there was an outdoor seating patio as well. I would highly recommend a stop in!
