We are visiting from England and have been to Heart and Soul three times in the past week. Why? Yes, the coffee is excellent and the food is very good, but it's the warmth and hospitality of the owner, Bud, that has impressed us most. We have lived and travelled in many places around the world but rarely have we experienced an owner with such a wonderful attitude and such a welcome. It feels like visiting a friend when we come to Heart and Soul....a place that embodies the name of the cafe and an owner who clearly knows what hospitality means.

Very nice place with a lot of potential. Sadly, my wine glass had the last persons lipstick still on the glass. This is so common in many restaurants. Great sausages but would have been so much better cooked for a few minutes more. Browned and crispy. I gave 5 stars to server because he sincerely wanted to please. I’d love to go back and hopefully there could be a little more attention to details.

As soon as you walk in, you’re surrounded by an explosion of colors , tie-dye tapestries on the walls, fun pictures, and plants hanging from every corner. Jarryd had exceptional service as we were there. He never missed a beat when it came to our orders and general conversation. But the best part? The whole place runs on good karma. The staff is as chill as can be, always smiling and ready to share

Best cafe on the Northshore. Jarryd is a very attentive server, super friendly and knowledgeable. Bud and Julie the owners are also very attentive and always make sure it’s a great experience. Great music and decor. Avocado toast is a favorite and they have great coffee.
Had takeout breakfast from here. Man was it good but it's $$$$$.
Parking: Very limited parking in this area in general. Off peak times you should have no trouble finding a spot. Meal times it can be difficult.

We didn’t take any pics because the food was devoured!!! Such a cool place. Great vibe, the waitstaff was polite and kind. Food was delivered quickly too! Can’t wait to go back. We have Brazilian bomblete and Benedict. Açaí bowl looked delicious too!

Came for breakfast with family and left feeling a little disappointed. No one really came to check on us after we started eating. I felt bad having to keep asking for straws and ice but for some reason that didn’t come as standard. When our utensils were brought to the table they were placed directly on the menu, which was not very clean at all. Food and price was fine but otherwise I don’t think I’ll be returning :(
