Friendly staff, quick bites and comfort food. Beer is tasty too.
Great beer, food and atmosphere-5 out of 5. Surely will come again!
My sisters and I held our dad's retirement party at Ipswich Ale Brewery last weekend and we could not be happier with our experience - AMAZING service, food, and drinks! Caroline, Myles, and the whole staff were so accommodating and easy to work with - they made coordinating this event truly effortless on our end and even helped us set up some decorations we brought. I've already recommended Ipswich Brewery as a venue to all who attended and will definitely keep them in mind for any future events! :)
If I could rate this place lower I would, rudest staff I’ve ever encountered
Had a great work lunch here last week! Miles even brought over a complimentary appetizer. Food was delicious and service was amazing.
AMAZING experience at this brewery for lunch on a Wednesday. Pulled pork, crab Rangoon dip, and the Buffalo caesar wrap were fantastic, flavorful, and portions large enough to take home. Our waitstaff was kind and efficient and let us try a few brews before we ordered. After a bike ride to Crane beach, this was the perfect pit stop before making our way back to Boston!
Do yourself a favor and stop by. This is my favorite spot in town! The Ipswich original ale is as good as it gets. The mussels were perfect and so was the thanksgiving egg rolls. The staff is friendly and the building is beautiful. 5 stars.
So thankful we stopped here after a day on the beach in Ipswich!!
We sat outside. Our server (Caroline) was absolutely amazing!!! So polite, so friendly, so welcoming. No stress! "Take your time! Would you like to try this or that before you order?". Phenomenal!
Beer was great! Weather was nice! Will definitely go back when I'm close to Ipswich!!
Large capacity brewpub off the beaten path in Ipswich, MA. Offer a variety of their beers and a standard pub menu---not exciting, but you come here for the beer, not Haut Cuisine. Appetizers of a soft pretzel and the baked brie. Both very good. Then a Brewers Burger and Fish & Chips. Good burger. Fish (Haddock) dry---most likely because it was still frozen when breaded and fried. As beer drinkers, we came to sample a few of their beers. My son had the American Lager. Standard, but good. I had the Dark Ale. Disappointing. Bitter. Not good bitter as in British and German ales, but unpleasantly bitter with a lingering aftertaste. Good service. Not sure we’d come again.
Excellent beer and food! The clam chowder was delicious. Fish tacos were hough with several flavor profiles coming together to form a party in your mouth.

Great beer and food. Excellent environment
My husband was at the brewery today for his birthday lunch (I had to stay home with our toddler, due to his nap time), so I asked him to bring me a salad home (menu looked good online), he ordered a Titanic salad with a side of grilled salmon. Paid $20 for it... What I got was basically all greens, few scarce tomatoes / cukes and literally a sliver (!) of salmon. I have NEVER seen a piece that small at any restaurant in 45 years of my life. I mean, either don't bother adding anything (so people don't feel ripped off) or list on the menu that salmon is going to be TINY (in oz.) so people know in advance what to expect. Total disappointment!
I like it. It is good. Great beer. Great brewery environment. Good food. Killer patty melt and enough vegetarian and GF options so you don't have to feel like an add-on like most places. Maybe they saw this review years ago and changed the staff, but what the hell is wrong with me? I made this review years ago (so I've forgotten what staff used to be like) and said 'sometimes good staff... Hit or miss'. So totally untrue. The staff is the best staff anywhere. I love their staff. Every last wait person is a gem.Having the brewery gone for a few months, I hope, made locals realize what they were missing. This is solid, reasonably priced food with great beer. They mix up the menu and don't have any plain old same as everywhere offerings. There's always a little twist of added quality or difference. So you don't go away feeling like you are a basket of deep fried chicken that tastes like college cafeteria pickins. And also, the hellbound. Not for everyone. But man is it ever my fave beer.
Great food, lots of vegetarian options. Good beer, tried one of the flights. Fun that you can see into the brewery from windows by the tables.
There burgers are exactly how they should be. Great dinning experience everytime
