Zeno’s has always been great, but it’s time to face the facts; over the last couple years they’ve gone to another level entirely and are, by far, the best Beef spot in Massachusetts. While other trendy spots in the North Shore have become obsessed with pretentiously packing as much (average) beef as possible into their sandwich to get looks on social media or whatever, Zeno’s keeps it OG and uses appropriate but never thrifty amounts of their absolutely untouchable beef in every sandwich, making it a much more well balanced sandwich experience overall. There’s always a hint of “spice” to their beef but once again, unlike other spots, they don’t overdo it in an attempt to club you over the head. They simply let their untouchable product shine. Add to this some of the friendliest employees you’ll ever find anywhere to the mix and you have the stuff of legend. Zeno’s is the king.

Drove here quite some distance because my research said this may be the best beef on the North Shore. It was a work of art.Thinly sliced beef was the star of the show.Three way was the way to go and it did not disappoint. Ipswich is lucky to have this place. I Will be back. One of my all time favorite sandwiches.

Good but not great beef sandwich as compared to some other Northshore establishments. Beef was a little overcooked and not that warm. For a super, size was a little underwhelming. Bun was not toasted. Horseradish is among the best with a thick paste consistency.
