We could hang by the pool all day! Love that you can get refreshments at the snack bar and we often run into acquaintances. So it's like a low key play date for our daughter too!

Just moved to the area and signed up. The facility is HUGE. The gym staff are friendly and efficient. Workout equipment is beyond adequate and exceptional for all of my needs. Locker room has sauna and steamroom and lockable lockers. Pool and tennis usually busy with local kids but I go in evening and facilities are wide open. Fantastic gym at a very reasonable price given what the space provides.

Not a bad club experience if you can put up with the MOST obnoxious group of 40 something women on the planet. Staff is great-facilities are good-cliental leave MUCH to be desired-bunch of brats with no manners or class.

Two stars is very fair. It's very expensive $100+/month. They try to pretend this cost reflects an upscale gym, but almost everything about it is outdated, like taking a trip back to 1995. They offer babysitting, but our kid who is usually very social comes out crying every time. This was part of the reason we joined, but this service has been proven to be obsolete. So then we cancelled and they continue to charge us for another month. It's kind of like asking for your bill at a restaurant and then your server brings you more drinks. They are just another typical gym that cares mostly about your wallet and very little about members.

I've been a member for awhile. The good-the hours, towel service, separate (and new) lockers, availability of equipment, pool, classes and personal trainers, some of the front desk staff. The really good is it isn't a glitzy gym and people are serious about working out, not showing off. It's big and super family friendly. The meh - members use cell phones, don't wash machines, a few are (really) noisy and inconsiderate when they work out, kids can sometimes run around unsupervised, the tv's are limited and channels are not sports-centric, often news or a home show will be on all tv's even if there is a Bruins playoff game on. The location is key and it's easy to get in and out (as long as there isn't a swim meet, the front area is mayhem and somewhat dangerous in the dark). The staff are generally nice and responsive. The restaurant and juice bar are convenient. The membership is on the expensive side, but probably high value for families as in addition to the gym, tennis and pool area, they have day care, a hair salon and spa, etc.

This place is not perfect. In particular, the lockers have disgusting black gunk, never cleaned, in all the seams. But it the best place to go around Duxbury due its size and convenience. There's a market out there, however, for someone to open a large, spotlessly clean gym with up-to-date equipment and a pool available for members.

Mckenna at Mussels Grille was the best bartender ever! She was very fast at getting my drinks and always checked in if i needed something!! The White Russian (a weird request but my fav drink) was so good! Will come back!

I have to agree with other members- not what I expected. Yeah, there's a pool, but you have to plan around all the other programs that happen there if you want to swim laps. And the exercise area is full of machines jammed in right next to each other- some of the treadmills are literally inches apart from one another. Not really relaxing or enjoyable. It's by far the MOST expensive club in this area (over $100 a month!!). For that price I would expect some level of professionalism, which is lacking- the management has no clue, and their staff needs a lot of training. Everytime I walk in, it seems like there are numerous people standing behind the desk doing nothing, yet no one greets me unless I say "Hello" first. Another reviewer hit it on the nose- this place is trying to masquerade as an upscale establishment, which it is not.
