My little family showed up to this beautiful restaurant after my sons hockey team won their tournament championship. Mind you, this is NYE. We were surprisingly given a table for four and treated wonderful. Everyone congratulated our son and made us feel special for the spontaneous celebration. The service and food were a 10/10. I enjoyed the salmon and my husband, the sirloin. We had the molten chocolate cake and Irish coffee for dessert. Recommend to anyone looking for a memorable night out.

Made a res 3 weeks ago... Restaurant text today at 4 that we overbooked and we had to sit in high tops...we said no...hostess when we showed was rude and said this was resolved over a text...I said no, we need to sit in dinning...we made res 3 weeks ago . She basically admitted she messed up but we need to sit in high top...we left. Then my wife stayed to say how disappointed she was and hostess said i remember on mother's day you threw check at me and didn't tip from 2020...blown away...don't even know what to say

Solstice is a Lovely restaurant, situated just off Main St in Kingston- It definitely has a semi formal air to the atmosphere -which may be holding some people back from consideration as a date night spot. The food is nicely prepared and Tasty, although with the Scallop dish I ordered, there were Definitely several (all) on the Raw side, as opposed to being nicely Seared- and for being Sea Scallops, their sizing was a bit diminutive .......My Date's Steak was absolutely lovely, and the food overall was very good. Overall , a lovely place to enjoy a quiet evening outing..

Solstice has fantastic food! We've been here a couple of times to celebrate special occasions & we've always been impressed. The service is great as well - staff are very friendly. It's best to make a reservation as it tends to get busy. Highly recommend the seared scallops & boneless ribeye!

I had a house salad with skirt steak. My steak was cooked to perfection...medium rare. The venue was cozy & inviting. The staff was friendly and professional. I will definitely be going back.

In all 18 years of my life I have never had a better bathroom experience ?? 10/10, 5/5 absolutely incredible. Pure bliss in there. Soap smells magnificent, great vibe, I recommend leaving the light off for a better experience. Cute little tree as well. Food was also good and the waiter was 10/10.

Had a terrible experience! I respect other people that want to have quiet dinner and not listen to a baby or toddler getting excited, but the staff should know and let us know right away that it was not kid friendly restaurant. Besides the waitress that was trying to provide a good experience, everyone else was rude, specially the hostess.
One of the staff came to our table and said “we will have to take you baby if he continue to make noise as people are complaining”. I would totally understand and would probably take the kids out to not disturb the other costumers, but there are better ways to say that to someone.
The duck was also not good!

I enjoyed my experience at Solstice as I attended dinner here this evening. The atmosphere was comfortable & the food was good. I ordered the Burrata Salad, Halibut w/ Asparagus & Solstice Cake for dessert. I loved the music selection playing in the background (Unchained Melody, My Girl, Runaround Sue were a few of my favorites). The service staff was very kind. Kayla was attentive & Trish took over towards the end of the meal. I really enjoyed her service. Something very pleasant & gentile about her. I liked how both ladies didn’t make me feel rushed as I was finishing up a book I was reading.

We've been there for special events over and over again. Dates, anniversaries, etc... Perfect food, service, and atmosphere. Truly professional. Never a disappointment in a single way.

We were sat right away which is nice because we had a reservation. The table was not the best, to much traffic walking by from the kitchen. We ordered drinks first , Blueberry Lemoncello Spritz was very nice, the Tito's and Tonic was very light on the Tito's so asked for a shot to put in it. We ordered the Orange Cauliflower for an appetizer which was cooked properly but NO flavor at all. Very disappointed. We ordered the Atlantic Halibut which was cooked great but again not much flavor at all. The other meal was the seared scallops which was very good but again lacking in any type of spice. We ordered the Chocolate Lava Cake to share ( because it was our anniversary, which was never mentioned even though it was on the reservation) and it came out barley warm . The taste was ok but the "lava" part was not flowing. All in all for the price we paid and it being an " upscale" restaurant I would have expected a bit more. Nice to try but probably will not go back.

REPORTED TO THE HEALTH DEPARTMENTServed us food that made us sick. Then yelled at us for reporting it to him.Can you imagine bragging about going to the Culinary Art Institute of America? You might as well brag about going to Le Cordon Bleu. Pathetic.

I really didn’t want to leave this review - but after my boyfriend being scolded on the phone by the owner I fear I must.We dined at solstice last night to celebrate our two year anniversary. The food was great, the service was great, everything was awesome.. until it wasn’t.We got home and walked the beach and my boyfriend proposed to me (I said yes!)We called our families and about an hour to two hours later our stomachs started to hurt. We thought maybe it was nerves from excitement. Well.. let me tell you.. we were the sickest we had ever been in our lives. Both of us throwing up and needing to use the rest room all night. It was absolutely horrifying.I know food borne illness can happen - were not stupid. So we were never going to leave this review publicly.. but we called the restaurant and emailed - no answer. Finally we called again and then the owner called me. He immediately started berating us and telling us we were liars and that he has never had someone sick from his food.He then called my boyfriend dramatic and said that we couldn’t possibly get so sick so soon after food poisoning so it must not have been true.Today was supposed to be the HAPPIEST day after getting engaged and we truly have never felt so sick, and then to be told we’re liars. Wild.I’ve been in the service industry half of my life and this was so poorly handled it’s not even funny. You can see if you click on my profile that I always leave RAVING reviews at establishments.. so this is hard for me to write.Also.. Kayla our sever was absolutely wonderful.
