The food was really quite good, but the service was lousy. Really kind of destroyed the whole experience and I've been pretty laid back since the pandemic. Unbelievably slow, waitress didn't have too many tables - spent almost all time in kitchen. Items out of order so we are eating cold food alone. 10-20 minutes to get a drink. Print a drink menu - online with just names isn't really sufficient.

Super cool cafe with lots of books to read. Love the ambiance. I ordered rice, chicken, with black beans. Good portion, very well seasoned and flavorful. I will definitely return again

Let me say they moved! I found it though! Amazing food as always! Cozy was the best waiter, so helpful. the POSITIVE VIBE HERE IS THE BEST! Read , relax and eat some homemade comfort food!! look no further. I ordered the guacamole of course! Consome de pollo! Homemade chicken soup! Feed the soul and stomach here! followed by Honey Habanero slider! Milkshake with oreos and cinnamon! ❤️❤️❤️❤️??. I WILL BE BACK TO RELAX, work on photos and read. taking some soup to my son too! I love this spot!

Missed this place since they moved. The food is always great and the owners are the most humble and kindest people. Our meal was great starting with a Tazo magaritta, highly recommend. I had the special Puerco and camarones in a jalepeno salsa with onion mushroom and cactus with rice and beans on the side. The coolest thing is that if we wanted any meal from the original restaurant they would make it for us. Who does that?♥️ If you haven’t been you should go treat yourself it is worth it

Food is outstanding…margaritas are excellent. Everything is fresh and delicious. If you want Mexican food, I would highly recommend this place & try the Hibiscus margarita!Kid-friendliness: There are books and local art…it’s really a wonderful vibe fur all.

The last time I ate at the Cafe Azteca, it was in it's original location. The food and margaritas were terrific. The staff was attentive and friendly. The book store was a nice touch to this place. Just be mindful of the pan handlers outside and make sure you pay the parking fee. I didn't see where to pay and got a $20 parking ticket.

We went there yesterday for a late lunch. It was my first time in the "new" location inside El Taller and we thought it was so cozy and welcoming. Seems like a great gathering place. The food was delicious. We both got mole dishes - poblano and tamales. Yum! We will be back

Delicious food, great service. Quaint restaurant with books and culture all around. Love this place!

Far and away the best Mexican food in New England. This is not your typical Tex-Mex joint for tacos and chimichangas. This is the real deal - serious Mexican cuisine fit for the most discriminating palate. To recommend one dish would be a disservice to all the others. Everything is fabulous. Just go.

Loved it!! No wait on a Saturday night. Great food. Great options including vegan options. And a fun setting in the back of a bookstore.

Cafe Azteca is simply the best!!! I've been getting the chicken chimichanga (brown sauce) for so many years. I order one there and one to go every time!

Forgot to put sauces (the entire reason I ordered the menu items I chose) in the bag, refused to fix it with the excuse of being short staffed. The sauces are quite good, but the Don Vasco sandwich and Tostones are quite dry and unappetizing without the sauce, which makes this experience extremely disappointing. I would not recommend anybody order delivery from Azteca. They didn’t even offer the ability to come pick up the sauces myself! This was an extremely disappointing experience.Edit: a delivery driver came to my house an hour after I called with the sauce. While I appreciate the gesture, I would have appreciated more a heads up that they were coming— especially since on the phone they told me there was nothing they can do because they were short staffed! I would have saved my food (and not posted this review) if they had just simply told me they were coming! I simply cannot understand why they chose to do this the way they did. Now I have the sauce. I guess I will find something to eat with it.Edit 2: unfortunately, Google Reviews does not let me respond to responses. I appreciate the apology, but I just don’t understand why you didn’t call back and let me know that you were coming! It wouldn’t have been a big deal at all.
