Here's a question for you - is it legal for a DQ location to not accept DQ gift cards? This location refused to accept gift cards because they said they're new and didn't have the gift card machine reader yet. However, they also refused 11 months ago and someone wrote a review on Google. This kind of bad business practice is certainly not acceptable for me and I will not be returning.

I went here on August 9 for a takeout order for the family. I tried paying with a gift card to which I was told that Dairy Queen gift cards are not accepted at this location. The clerk told me that the computer is not equipped to take them and that this was a new location. New location? I am 50 years old and have been coming to this location since I was a kid in Little League. My question is this. Why can I not use my gift card at any Dairy Queen location? Why if there is a sign on the front that says Dairy Queen, the product being sold is Dairy Queen, and the employees are wearing Dairy Queen shirts why can I not use my Dairy Queen gift card? I had reached out and sent a message to Dairy Queen prior to writing this review. Unfortunately they didn't feel the need to respond.
