The chicken fried rice was okay, not great, but the Lomo a lo Pobre had a ton of oily french fries and only a little bit of beef. They tried to scam us with the bill by charging $75 for a $46 dollar check. Don’t fall for their ‘service fee’ added on to the bill, which should be a gratuity based on the service and food, not an automatic charge. Overall: food was meh service was meh. Don’t go with high hopes.

Not bad, but a bit salty for my taste, the aji de gallina was a miss for me especially, the sauce was watery and runny.

First time here - really enjoyed our meal! The Shrimp Chaufa and the Seafood Yakisoba were great! The Chaufa might be the best fried rice I've had in the area in a long time. Will definitely be going back!

Saw the chronicle segment and knew we had to try! The service was great. The waitress made some excellent recommendations! Ceviche and a Sappora role for appetizers were great suggestions ( 4 of us dined) I had the Mar Y Tierra and the sauce was yummy. Fun drink options too!

I have 3 years coming to Japú Restaurant and everytime i go there are no complaints! The food is very consistent and amazing. The servers are all very friendly and very attentive. My favorite dish is the ceviche mixto with medium heat! The sushi have a blend of flavors incredible!! Will be again!

Great experience at Japu. One of the friendliest staffs around and the food was fantastic as well. Highly recommend.

Unique combination of Peruvian and Japanese cuisine.
I ordered Sapporo roll ( grilled salmon, cream cheese, plantain wrapped with rice and seaweed deepfried) and the fried rice. Both are amazing. The grilled salmon in the roll tastes so rich and aromatic which is complimented by the cream cheese, plantain and the fried seaweed perfectly.

Pros & cons
I went on a day when there was only one table with 3 clients, got take out.
CONS: dirty menus, sign of poor hygiene , especially since it was down time. Sushi was ok, but not great. Rice was somewhat dry & sushi filling somewhat skimpy, contrary to VAKA restaurant. It also took them 35 minutes to make our order, even though there were only 3 other clients already being served. Pricy: more than 40dollars per person, and that's without drinks.
PROS: the causas was one of the best I've ever had in my life, and I have a lot of Peruvian friends that make it at home. Server was nice.

Relaxed ambiance, the lady serving that night was very nice and helpful. In the food part, it was cheap and delicious, things that together are becoming less common nowadays.
